Translating the italian docs

I'm going to translate the whole italian documentation
http://netsukuku.freaknet.org/netsukuku.ita to a whole english one...
Is anybody already translating it or a part of it?
Just to avoid a double useless translation...

That's great. I'm translating all the ntk documentation to Spanish.

I could help you with the English part, I'm not experienced with Italian
at all. Also, it would be nice if someone could edit the wikipedia articles
about Netsukuku.

Re: Translating the italian docs

I traslated for a school prokect part of documentation:
topology, andna, qspnv2.
I traslated these just for me and the documents and the documents aren't
formatted as the english ones because i didn't think to redistribute them.
However i'll upload topology-it.odt andna-it.odt and qspn-it.odt on my
web space when i'll have free time if my work maybe helpful.
I need someone formats and correct these files because my translation
skill is too low.

Re: Ntk's maps

Hello Davide,

I'm also trying WNMAP for Ninux.org in Rome.

http://tuscolomesh.ninux.org/wnmap/

I can't understand how to switch nodes from "potential" to "active", and how to set up snmp or similar things to have wireless links displayed as in here: http://map.seattlewireless.net/

Any information ?

thanks

Saverio

If  the seattlewireless map is ok it can be downloaded from: http://wnmap.sourceforge.net/
I have tested it on my space hosted on aruba, you can see here: http://www.davidefabbri.net/maps

simply:
- download and install wnmap
- register to google maps api: http://code.google.com/apis/maps/signup.html
- register to yahoo application id https://developer.yahoo.com/wsregapp/ ( I was unable to register, so the search function is not working )
- edit the file configure.php as appropriate
( I had also to romove a call to the php function mysql_real_escape_string from file VerifyNode.php )

Enjoy

Feel free to ask :)

Thanks for your offer dude :)
have you some ideas about a "community oriented" portal ?

we want to develop something similar to:

and _Seattle wireless map_

http://map.seattlewireless.net/

we're trying to made it from about 3 years, but unfortunately coders are strange kind of people, and the web coders are the strangest one.

cheers,

Thanks :)
And, i think, when i will have completed the translation to english, you
could re-translate it to spanish in order to have a more detailed
spanish translation (because the italian documentation is obviously the
most complete, for now).

Yes, the english wikipedia articles are rather poor, at the moment...
I'll help also with this one, as i'll have completed the translation of
the italian documentation.

Cool! Would be a good thing if you could upload it, so we will check it
as soon as possible.
Let us know :)
Thank you

Re: Translating the italian docs

I upload them.
This docs aren't formatted because i didn't think to publish them.
For example not all formulas are made with simple text and about
some symbols like the bar letters i used the line tool, there isn't
any reference or other.
I just spent some days for the translation.

http://prophet.altervista.org/netsukuku/doc/it/andna.odt
http://prophet.altervista.org/netsukuku/doc/it/qspn.odt
http://prophet.altervista.org/netsukuku/doc/it/topologia.odt

I hope my work is helpful ;-).

Ehm, i noticed only now that those docs are only in italian.
Are you sure the links aren't wrong?
However, the docs explain some ntk features are in a simplified way very
well so they could be helpful anyway.
