installing on FreeBSD 4.x

Hi, I am running the latest avail port of JDK (1.3) for FreeBSD and would
like to install and learn OpenNMS...being a newbie, I am having a difficult
time figuring out how to install JDK 1.4. Reading the FreeBSD page, it
appears that it hasn't been completely ported yet though...does anyone have
any experience on running OpenNMS on FreeBSD.

Thx,

 Will

OpenNIC Discuss: A question of charters

I can't seem to find a good model to write up a charter on the opennic
site, and there seem to be a lot of connections refused from snoop. Is
something wrong?

The .indy charter is hosted at www.opennic.indy; I'm not sure which
other TLDs keep a copy of their own charters. Going to
www.opennic.<TLD> should get you information about that TLD though.

And I hope this means the mailserver is fixed - I haven't been able to
get mail to the list or to Robin (asking about the list) in ages.

I've had problems trying to access the scoop site for a while. Also, I
have been unable to contact Robin about a couple changes of IP address for
anari.null's nameserver.

(For anyone curious, anari.null is now up but only the nameserver responds
to outside requests; I'm collecting firewall logs to see whether my ISP
tries to portscan me before I bring major services back up... damn
ultra-restrictive AUPs... I'll probably go ahead and open things up
tomorrow, whether or not I find anything.)

Re: OpenNIC Discuss: A question of charters

The mail server is still acting oddly sometimes. It seems to just
freak out and, though it's processes aree still running, it starts
rejected incoming connections.

For that, and because the MySQL database server on that box has finally
decided to wig all the way out, I'm in te process of shifting it all to
a new machine. Much fun.

Sorry for the lack of communication on this,
-robin

Apparently it is; I got the first message in several weeks, and as the
messages stopping coincided with moving to a new laptop and copying
.procmailrc but forgetting to install procmail, which resulted in half a day
of bounces, I thought I had been thrown off the list.

OpenNIC Discuss: membersmail.com

I have a message in queue to jen <at> membersmail.com (it's an autoreply to a spam
which was in all HTML), for which the MX record points to dev.null, which has
no A record. Is membersmail aware of the .null TLD?
