[opennic-discuss] Heads Up: ns1.nj.us decommission planned

Just a quick heads up that ns1.nj.us will be decommissioned later this
week. I am leaving Linode and switching to prgmr.com. I have not yet
decided if I will provide OpenNIC services on the new sysstem.

Mike,

Please see opennic.glue for information how to setup a Tier 2 Server.

The following page tells you how to setup a server to act as Tier 2
DNS Server for OpenNIC.
http://opennicproject.org/index.php/howtos/48-tier-2-howto

Then I believe you can submit the info of your server to be considered
for official use on OpenNIC via reg.opennic.glue.

[opennic-discuss] the vote makes no sense

I registered at the site and went to vote - the question is there. But hen were asked to drop the .eco TLD. Thats very confusing. See cut and paste below.

joe

Should we peer with new-nations?
New-Nations(new.nations.net) has approached OpenNIC asking if we would like to peer their tlds, .ti, .uu, .te and .ku. Please vote if you would like to peer the listed TLDs from new-nations.

Re: [opennic-discuss] Heads Up: ns1.nj.us decommission planned

Maybe this might be a good point to discuss moving over to the forums.

I've been rather disappointed that, as a long-time member of OpenNIC, I still cannot access the m/l after a week due to circumstances beyond my control.  I can't imagine what roadblocks new members must go through in order to participate...
