How to build rpm

Hi,

I have a question on building the tog-pegasus rpm from source. I downloaded the Pegasus source code for linux and added the python provider interface from pywbem. I then did a build of Pegasus and the binaries works fine. Could anyone give me pointers on how to build the tog-pegasus rpm?

Thanks,

Arthi.

You can look at our package in the openSUSE build service. It includes
the Python provider interface. You can grab our SRPM, and get the .spec
file from there.
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/systemsmanagement:/wbem/SLE_10/src/tog-pegasus-2.7.0-66.1.src.rpm

I'd also like to point out that in Pegasus 2.8 ProviderManagers will be
pluggable, so you can have the Python ProviderManager in a separate
RPM. You can see examples of that here:
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/systemsmanagement:/wbem:/unstable/SLE_10/src/tog-pegasus-2.8.0-19.1.src.rpm
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/systemsmanagement:/wbem:/unstable/SLE_10/src/pegasus-python-provider-mgr-1.0-4.1.src.rpm

Ask again if you run into any questions.

I should mention that the links above will go away when those packages
are rebuilt and the build number increases. I probably should have
linked to the directory containing the packages instead. If the links
don't work, back up to the directory. You'll get the idea...

Review document [PEP#326 - Additional SSL Options for wbemexec and osinfo 1.0] created

Since I forgot to select the notification checkbox when uploading this
PEP, here's a handwritten announcement for it.

Further details:-

Allow the invoker of the wbemexec and osinfo client programs flexibility
in the TLS/SSL certificate validation process by adding the ability to
specify a custom trust store file or skip the validation entirely.
