Follow-up Comment #2, task #4630 (project mldonkey):

Answering here instead in the mailinglist.
Transmitting torrent files to MLDonkey without uploading the
.torrent file to remote machine requires use of the GUI protocol.
Use opcode 63 and transmit the torrent as string to the core,
then its used by bTInteractive.op_gui_message function.
Sancho GUI is using this method.

Details:

In Sancho GUI if you download with filetp it shows nothing in client version
field. It could show webserver version there.
