Hi Jasiu,

Did you resolve this issue ?

Craig, where can we investigate to resolve that ?

Thanks,

Re: jffnms.conf problems php Declaration of JffnmsProfiles

Hi Craig and everyone else.

Sorry for the massive gap in responses, work demanded I work on something else. In answer to your questions.

The error is triggered when I try and save the initial config, which when setup.php loads is error free (apart from the db type I am not using), the only change I am trying to commit is the naming of the site.  I have fixed the time zone issue.

The error “Undefined offset: 59 in /opt/jffnms-0.9.1/conf/config.php on line 48, referer: http://th110netmon1/jffnms/admin/setup.php”. Is published to the web browser after clicking save, also appears in the apache error_log

I have since upgraded to php 5.3.8 from 5.3.6-r1 due to the security vulnerability published, and I get the same error.

Any pointers would be very helpful.

Should I be able to edit jffnms.conf and manually define the site  name?

Regards,

Mat.

Hello guys I could use a little help,

I am doing a fresh install of JFFNMS, 0.9.1.

I had a few issues which I have had to work through but managed to find the answers in earlier postings. I have managed to login for the first time as admin, at the setup page I only have a few errors Satelite server, TFTP server files path and RRDTool font. Nothing I cannot fix or workout, but I am unable to save the changes.

I have an error displayed above the JFFNMS Setup bar:

“Warning: fopen(../../conf/jffnms.conf) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /opt/jffnms/conf/config.php on line 90”

This is mirrored in the apache error_log

[Tue Aug 23 11:08:39 2011] [error] [client 10.44.10.3] PHP Warning:  fopen(../conf/jffnms.conf) [<a href='function.fopen'>function.fopen</a>]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /opt/jffnms/conf/config.php on line 90

After making a Setup change, like changing the site name and pressing “save change”, I get the error above then:

Warning: fopen(../../conf/jffnms.conf) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /opt/jffnms/conf/config.php on line 90

Warning: date() [function.date]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'Europe/London' for 'BST/1.0/DST' instead in /opt/jffnms/conf/config.php on line 43

Notice: Undefined index: logging_file in /opt/jffnms/conf/config.php on line 48

Notice: Undefined offset: 0 in /opt/jffnms/conf/config.php on line 48

Notice: Undefined offset: 1 in /opt/jffnms/conf/config.php on line 48

This error continues to offset 59 followed by a final fopen error. My timezone is defined as Europe/London and NTP works just fine. I am using Gentoo, but did not use the ebuild because the ebuild is on a much older version.

This looks to possibly be a php or a permissions error because the files do exist.

Vitals.

php 5.3.6-r1

mysql 5.1

apache 2.2.17

rrdtool 1.4.5-r1

2.6.34-gentoo-r6

Any ideas because I am running out of them.

Regards,

Mat.

Traffic Graphs - ID/Host have not been created by the Poller Process yet

Hi All,

I've replaced my existing 0.8.5 installation to a 0.9.1 build on a new

Windows box. After a couple of teething problems (mostly the scheduled tasks

needing to be ran from the engine folder and not windows) it is mostly fine.

Except, I have not been able to see any graphs for "Network Traffic because

they have not been created by the Poller Process yet"

All other graphs appear to be fine. I have deleted and let it re-create the

RRD files with the same result.

I have looked and found various answers relating to the version of RRDTools

that are used and can confirm I've tried 1.0.49 (no graphs display), 1.2.15

and 1.2.30 (as above).

What verison of RRDTools should we be using? As the install.win32.txt file

is still suggesting rrdtool-1.0.49-win32-bin.zip, which I saw isn't

supported when searching online?

Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions? This is driving me nuts :) Ta in advance.

JFFNMS 0.9.2RC1

Hello,

First I would like to thank Craig for keeping alive and Javier for developing this wonderful NMS.
Thank you Craig, thank you Javier !

I just installed 0.9.2RC1 on one of our production servers (Ubuntu server 11.04) and started to monitor few hosts.
However, there are few problems on installation:
- default package have no rrd Fonts directory under jffnms/engine/
- after first start-up, I had to edit manually jffnms.conf file, as I was not able to save changes from System setup page.
- if I select an interface and want to change time window ( let say zoom to ¨Last 10 minutes¨), instead to see selected interface, I see ¨Last 10 minutes¨ for all interfaces configures in system.

Maybe I did something wrong ... ?

Regards,
Tibi

jffnms.conf problems php Declaration of JffnmsProfiles

Hi all,

I just installed jffnms 0.9.1 on a newly installed debian-server. Everytime I want to save from the gui, I receive the following error and receive message  'website cannot display the page".
IN the apache-logs I see : "[Sat Oct 29 09:52:12 2011] [error] [client 10.104.0.3] PHP Fatal error:  Cannot redeclare config_load_libs() (previously declared in /opt/jffnms/conf/config.php:133) in /opt/jffnms/conf/config.php on line 166, referer: http://10.104.254.170/jffnms/admin/setup.php"

Anybody has an idea how to fix this ?

Thanks, apologies for taking a long time to reply.

The font was taken out of the sun java font set for previous versions.
Basically the short answer is that it is problemmatic to distribute it
and there are so many other fonts. rrdtool doesn't need a font and if
this entry is blank it uses the built-in one.
In Debian, the font LucidaTypewriterRegular.ttf is found in
sun-java-fonts

That's fixed in 0.9.2 though of course the permissions need to be ok.

Agh, that one again. I thought I hunted it down and killed that. It's a
pain to find because it is basically something not getting transferred
from the current page to the next.

OK, ill go hunting for it again

Make sure that the device has a valid IP address, SNMP community and
that Autodiscovery policy is set to something that isn't 'no
autodiscovery'

Find the host ID, let's say it is 9.
Bring up a command line and go to the engine directory and run the
following:

 php -q autodiscovery_interfaces.php -h 9 -t=12

The -t=12 means only run the windows autodiscovery only
Also, can you run:
  snmpwalk -On -v 1 -c <community> <ipaddress> system.sysObjectID

So if the ip address is 127.0.0.1 and the community is public

snmpwalk -On -v 1 -c public 127.0.0.1 system.sysObjectID
.1.3.6.1.2.1.1.2.0 = OID: .1.3.6.1.4.1.8072.3.2.10

The number that is 8072 here should be 311 for you.

Re: jffnms 0.9.1 error fatal class sanitizer

What I now have done is a clean install, with 0.9.1 and clean sql-database with all the proper rights and I have the following errors. the main reason is that I only can upgrade to 0.9.0 : from 0.9.0 to 0.9.1 there are a lot of errors with duplicated olumns in the hosts-table and the interface_types to start with. The original database is coming from 0.8.5
When I use the 0.9.0-database, I see the following: rrd files not being created and no files written to /opt/jffnms/engine/temp/
anyhow, the upgradescript has issues.
With a fresh install :

Can you tell me what you were doing at the time?
I'm not seeing this error and cannot see any relevant change that would
cause it.

global $Sanitizer;

that might fix it in the relecvant function but I thought 0.9 had it
already.

That's a known problem in 0.9.1 that is fixed in 0.9.2
