MySQL error

Hi folks,

Have been running jffnms without a hitch for a couple of months, but yesterday it blew up for no apparent reason with the following entries dumped into my Win2k event log file: -

C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 4.1\bin\mysqld-nt: Can't open file: 'interfaces.MYI' (errno: 145)

Also from the http page I’m getting: -

09:45:58 db_ping(mysql) Connection to DB Restored... 09:45:59 db_ping(mysql) Connection to DB Restored... 09:46:00 db_ping(mysql) Connection to DB Restored... 09:46:01 db_ping(mysql) Connection to DB Restored... 09:46:02 db_ping(mysql) Connection to DB Restored...
Warning: join() [function.join]: Bad arguments. in C:\jffnms\lib\api.events.inc.php on line 246
Query Failed - events_list() - Can't open file: 'interfaces.MYI' (errno: 145)

Being neither an SQL DBA or application specialist I’m kinda scratching my head as to where to start with this one – any help would be very greatly appreciated in where to troubleshoot from.

Many thanks in advance,

Damian Bell

Re: MySQL error

Hi Damian,

You just need to repair this table (interfaces) with a mysql repair command.

Re: PHP Warning: array_merge()

The easiest way is to add and " <at> " at-symbol before the <at> array_merge so it will
suppress the error message.

Re: msyslog

the parameters seem to be ok.

Can you check if you can connect to MySQl with

mysql -h localhost -u jffnms -p jffnms jffnms

??

Also check with netstat to see if msyslog connected to MySQL.

Re: Cisco CPU Utilizaiton Trigger

Do you see SLA events in the screen ?

Running the rrd_analizer.php <interface_id> will help us diagnose the problem.

We first have to verify that the SLA works and then the trigger.
