Partnership with SAPO, from Portugal Telecom

Great news people!

To quote from my website announcement:
  http://psi.affinix.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=5&t=2556

--
This is the moment we've all been waiting for, folks! SAPO, the largest
Internet service provider and web portal in Portugal, has hired me to work
full time on Open Source Software. Expect this partnership to have a major
impact on the Psi/Delta projects, and by extension the entire Jabber
Community. Jabber has needed this for so long, and I'm very excited!

More discussion on psi-devel to come as I get set up and going.

| I don't know of one. I do know that it's planned for the roster rewrite.

I'm currently working on the MUC functionality atm, though I could beat
the roster rewrite to the punch on putting MUCs in the roster if I can
get the ok to mess w/ the roster code.

I did a lot of roster code rewriting a long while ago, which will probably
completely conflict with the current state (although not much changed
in the roster) now :( So, from my part, there's not much point in staying out
of the code if it stops from doing wonderful things, since i don't plan
to do any roster rewrite work soon.

cheers,
Remko

I have attached an incremental patch which includes:
--gpg=path_to_gpg_executable
--gpghome=dir_with_keyrings (equivalent to --homedir gpg switch)

Both .diff files attached apply over the previous version of the patch.

There's a new version of ArgumentParser (code cleaned a bit). Throw the dir in
psi/src/tools/

Enjoy.

I found a multi-line edit bug. It appears that if the message you
enter causes the textbox to grow larger than the top (chat history)
box, once you hit enter the whole dialog will increase in size. It's
repeatable.

editing config.xml

Hello!

I switched my ICQ transport and thought that I could simply search&replace
the jids of my ICQ contacts in my config.xml but this don't work..

If I change something thats related to my buddy list like names oder jids,
Psi simply ignores it.....
I can't add a new account to my list either by adding it to config.xml :-(

bye!

Nope, it simple can not work this way due to the fact that all contacts
are stored in an xml-file at your jabber-server, and the jabberd only
cares about the jids stored there.

The solution for this problem are tools like "jjru" which are able to
modify the Contact list directly at your server.
The website of jjru is currently down due to the jabberstudio.org
hack, but you can use my mirror:

Your roster (contacts list) is stored on the server. The copy Psi keeps
in its config file is AFAIK just to not show empty roster while not
connected. To edit many contacts at once, you can use JRU, "Jabber
Roster Utility". The one here is probably working:

Thank you both for your help!

Flyspray 0.10 release tasks

I've been checking the flyspray tasks that are due in Psi 0.10 for
inconsistencies.

First a general note. The 0.10 release will focus on UI improvents. In
that perspective, the new user wizard FS#54 is crucial, IMO. Currently
this task is still unassigned. To me it seems that the 0.10 release will
lack on UI if it is not implemented. Since it will take some time to fix
it, I want to ask: "Is there anyone who wants to implement this part?
Please step forward :p".

FS#339 bug where service iconsets reset to 'stellar (default)' seems to
me also a bug that is important to be fixed in 0.10. Mblsha (or someone
else), would you like to take this on you?

Then the inconsistencies/remarks (mostly for Hal's eyes):
- FS#133 Add roster auto-resize option: Isn't this (partly or fully)
already in cvs? If so, is probably needs to be assigned to the patcher
and get status "assigned" and higher percent complete.

- FS#316 Global, Customizable hotkeys: same as before. This is in cvs
right? it is still unassiged and 0% done.

- FS#289 Merge 'Configure toolbars' inside the options dialog: this task
is still unconfirmed, but seems to be important for the UI release. Many
users can't find how to change the toolbars

- FS#136: Status is "new" but it is assigned to kev.

- FS#335 Clean up the packaged iconset selection: is a bit strange: 90 %
complete but still noone assigned to it and unconfirmed
