SASL auth problem with JSO and Jabberd2 within component namespace

Folks-

  In trying to use JSO 0.12.1 to connect to a Jabberd2 using SASL, I
am unable to connect due to a NoSupportedMechanismsException, where
the JSO cannot handle the DIGEST-MD5 that the server wants.  Any one
else get stuck here?
