It seems that there's a bug which causes this, it's triggered by some XML
I think (GT client for example makes c2s to crash). Someone posted a
thread about this some weeks ago.

BEST Client EVER

My boss was telling me that Gaim is not that good with Jabber.
In some conditions it does not even receive the offline messages (when going
online).
So that's why I started to study another client for our jabber2 network.

After testing and testing I think we will stick with Neos.
I think it's the best client I have ever seen... :)
(If you want to use encryption with neos,
because it's made for the oldest jabber1 you will need to enable SSL also)

This is not an advertising.
I never thought I will like a chat program that much.

Re: BEST Client EVER

Seems to be commercial, though there is a free for non-commercial use
version which wouldn't suit my environment, since it's commercial. I've
been using Exodus <http://exodus.jabberstudio.org> since it's GNU/Open
Source and it works fine for my users... :)

Gratis or libre? That seems to be the argument here and I'm pretty sure it
wasn't libre the last time I checked.

Re: BEST Client EVER

Heh... rats, I thought you were talking about Psi for a second there. Stable,
free, and works on practically every non-portable OS you're ever going to
want to Jabber from... :-)

I do wonder about Neos though. It supports audio and video streaming and I've
always been curious as to how "standard" the ways it did this were.

The big problem

Hi, i have installed jabberd2 on my linux red hat 9 with mysql 4.0.18. The files cs2, sm, s2s, router..... is
configured ok, then when i try start the jabberd -D this working properly. After install mysql i create the
table jabberd with these command:

mysql> GRANT select,insert,delete,update ON jabberd2.* to jabberd2 <at> localhost
IDENTIFIED by 'secret';

after this i run the db-setup.mysql located in tools directory.

I nedd create users to access the jabber and then i create with this command:

mysql> insert into authreg (username, realm, password)
-> values ('jabberd2','im.mydomain.com.br','banana');
Query OK, 1 row affected (0.00 sec)

mysql>

i have the result of show databases:
mysql> SHOW DATABASES;
+----------+
Database
+----------+
jabberd2
mysql
test
+----------+
3 rows in set (0.00 sec)

But when i put the name and the password in tkjabber or gaim, my im client dont connect, i dont know what is
wrong, i cheked the configuration files and is ok. I see the logs and i can see only connect and disconnect
