irc.cgi wont start

 
I have installed cgiirc into the cgi-bin for my apache2 server, and given it world executable privileges.  It appears to be set up correctly, and tries to run, then gives 500: Internal server error.
 
salvati0n[/www/cgi-bin/gwcirc]# perl irc.cgi
warnings.pm did not return a true value at irc.cgi line 26.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at irc.cgi line 26.

salvati0n[/www/cgi-bin/gwcirc]# perl -v

This is perl, version 5.005_03 built for i386-freebsd

 

Im assuming the problem is a variable or format that this version of perl does not understand.  Does anyone have a quick fix?  Thanks in advance!

acess from other site

hello, i am from portuguese wikipedia and we were creating a webchat interface for our irc channel, #wikipedia-pt hosted on irc.freenode.net.

the page is http://wiki-chat-pt.awardspace.com, and it tries to use the irc chat located at http://chat.wikizine.org (this is meant to be temporary, we will host our own cgiirc chat soon)

it doesnt work, though, so my question is: why doesnt it work (would it be because we are trying to access it from another site?), and how could we make it work.

Installation problem.

Having uploaded the files to my cgi-bin and set all permissions to 755, 
when I try to access it (http://www.darrage.co.uk/cgi-bin/irc.cgi) the 
interface loads, but I'm still not on the server. I tried using /quit 
which has no effect whatsoever, and I've also tried the teststream.pl test.

Test 0: OK
Test 1: OK
Test 2: OK
Test 3: OK
Test 4: OK
Test 5: OK
6 out of 6 tests were OK, looks like streaming is working

I've tried visiting /'/irc.cgi? interface=nonjs', /but it looks no 
different to just visiting 'irc.cgi' so I don't see how that can help.

I can't see anything else in the FAQs which help with the problem I'm 
having.
