iperf ttcp test error with -r

Hello,

I´m using iperf 1.7 between Win XP sp3 and Win Server 2003. And i´m doing the following test with an UMTS modem

in the Win Server

iperf -s -p 6000 -w 5m

and in the XP

iperf -c x.x.x.x -p 6000 -w 400k -r

(i´m doing this configuration because i want to see the max throughput of my modem)

the upload test works fine, but when turning to download test, this error appears on the server

write failed: Software caused connection abort
read on server close failed:Software caused connection abort

i´m not sure why the problem is, hope you can help me

thanks in advance

Alfredo Alcantara

Re: How can I use Iperf as a library?

hi Marco,

I don´t know if this can help you, but i´m extracting the iperf results to a mysql data base,
i put the results that iperf give me doing the "> results.txt" at the end of the command.
I create an php script to put those results in the data base.

Hope this help. Best of regards

RecFrom failed message

Hello All,

I'm running Iperf on 2 XP machines.  On the server side while running UDP I receive the message "RECVFROM FAILED:  Message too long" and then the UDP process quits.  Any ideas on what is causing this message would be very helpful.  Thanks,

Re: iperf runs beyond time limit

Hi John

Try to reduce the -w parameter, i know that this parameter is for the tcp window, but i think iperf send the value of data that you put in the -w param.

Hope this helps, and best of regards
