Mac OS X: Problem with lt_dlopenext

Hello,

If I try execute gnunetd I get the following message:

$ gnunetd -d
Feb 04 10:37:20 ERROR: `lt_dlopenext' failed for library
`libgnunetmodule_identity' at dso.c:99 with error:
dlopen(libgnunetmodule_identity.a, 9): image not found
Feb 04 10:37:20 FATAL: Identity plugin not found!
Abort trap

Ok, I need to set the environment lib path variable, so I do that and
get this message:

$ gnunetd -d
Feb 03 22:50:43 ERROR: `lt_dlopenext' failed for library
`libgnunetmodule_identity' at dso.c:99 with error:
dlopen(libgnunetmodule_identity.a, 9): no suitable image found. Did
find:
        /Users/danieltorresbonatto/sys/lib/GNUnet/libgnunetmodule_identity.a:

0x3E 0x0A
Feb 03 22:50:43 FATAL: Identity plugin not found!
Abort trap

Well, this error don't tells me much, so I need a help here.

We already have native 32-Bit Windows binaries which should also run on
Win64.
Just go to our download page
    http://www.gnunet.org/download.php3
and download the Windows installer (Setup*.exe)

New releases are announced on all mailing lists (<<info-gnunet at gnu
dot org>> has the least traffic volume). As Windows is an officially
supported platform, the new Windows binary is usually released together
with the official source package.

Thanks. :-)

  Hi

They can. Click on "translation mode"-link at the bottom of the page.
After translating you'll have to vote for the correct translation by
clicking on the translation on the translation page. You can vote
  multiple times.

Hi there,

Since everyone can translate and change translations, this kind of
situations (unfortunately) happen often. If you want to fix them, just
click on "przejdź w tryb tłumaczenia" (which I suppose it means
"Entering Translation Mode" or something like that) on the bottom of the
page.

If you want to help with the translations, the best way is probably to
use the Massive Translation Page:
http://gnunet.org/editor.php?xlang=Polish

Thanks for your e-mail,

Should work on Windows already. Check the download section for latest
Windows installer. If you can't get it to work, file a bug on Mantis.

Current Windows installer
http://gnunet.org/download/win32/Setup-0.7.0b.exe

and a crypto signature to check for authenticity and transfer errors
http://gnunet.org/download/win32/Setup-0.7.0b.exe.asc

You can subscribe to be notified for new releases at
http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/info-gnunet

Mantis for bug reporting
https://gnunet.org/mantis/

gnunet-gtk stats out bug

Found a bug.

Attached patch probably repairs it.

Still not seeing any noise (red) in the graph,
so the code may still remain partly broken.

Could someone check this further?

Please, try this binary
http://gnunet.org/download/win32/Setup-0.7.0b.exe and let us know if it
worked.

Didn't have time to look at the patch (late here, just back from travel, will
look at it tomorrow). Anyway, quick comment about noise: 0.7.x does not
produce any noise for TCP/http connections, only for UDP/SMTP. So it maybe
ok if you (rarely / never) see noise in the graph (depending on your config).

Doesn't GNUnet run on GNU?

  Hi

The download-page on gnunet.org lists only GNU/Linux. Doesn't GNUnet run
on Linux-less GNU? If it does, I recommend changing the requirement from
"GNU/Linux, ..." to "GNU(/Linux), ..." or "GNU, GNU/Linux, ..."

Re: Doesn't GNUnet run on GNU?

Hi,

> Doesn't GNUnet run

Rather not.

GNUnet's "util" module contains some functionality that is different on
every supported platform (BSD, Win, Linux, Solaris(?), ...). IMHO (I
don't know for real), "GNU" doesn't mean much. Every platform needs to
be investigated and existing code has to be ported there.
If you're lucky, the Solaris stuff works on Nexenta for example.
