Re: Fidolook 2006 (HL) build 95 Xmas Edition

let me put a maybe silly question, how can I set it to have different
signatures in each newsgroup?
It seems to OE only allows a signature for each account, but I have one
sigle news account for all groups...?!?

Have you tried creating multiple identities with each identity another News Group ?

I'm trying now, but it seems a bad idea to duplicate the account and
download all the large newsgroups list for each newsgroup I subscribe
:-(

Use FL Options -> Templates -> Criteria. Then buid an expression which will
suite your need, for example,

============== 8< ============== >8 ==============
%if(%match(%cngrp, *fidolook))
%then(use this template)
============== 8< ============== >8 ==============

You can use the Build button to create a criterion without learning this
macro language.

I cannot follow these exact steps in my FL... I get quite lost in the
interface, but with your suggestion I now understand how the rules
should be set up to have different signatures in newsgroups and that is
using Templates.

I have to find some HowTos to understand where to kick that lines into
the program.

Thank you.

german umlauts in FTN-messages

hi,

in incoming FTN-messages (Fido) the german umlauts are shown as "?" in
the article pane of OE and also in the editor when replying. In
FTN-outgoings the umlauts I write are shown as nomal vocals e.g. ä as
a. Whats2do 2 make FL show the right german characters?

Which OS do you use? In which codepage do you get FTN packets? Is the German
codepage is default in your system? Looks like FL uses default russian
codepage (866) somewhere... Are you sure that the inbound packets contain
valid symbols?

Yes, that's why you look these ??

I should look into the source code... I promise to do that soon, but a bit
later - got a whole bunch of various problems right now. If that codepage is
built-in (you're definitely the first foreign FTNStub user on my memory :),
it should be changed to CP_OEM.
