Encodings problem

Hello list!

I have problem with russian encodings.

My system locale is KOI8-R. Users on hub using Cp1251. So chat, names
of files, user's descriptions are in cp1251. I can't read chat, can't
write to chat. Is there any option to set the default encoding of hub
that differs from system locale?

Also I'd like to allow users to see my filelist in hub's encoding, not
in my system locale. Is that possible?

Thanks!

Valknut behind router

Hi!

I'm installed the Valknut software to my PC (Debian Sarge). Because I'm
behind a router I'm forwarded a port to my computer and I'm set my IP
address and the redirected port. I can upload files, search, and chating
but I can't download anything. When I would like to download something
it say idle or wait and it does'nt start the downloading. What sould I
do? Is there anybody who had the same problem? What s the solution?
Shall I redirect a new port? Which one?

Bye.

Any port should do...
Do you forward both tcp and udp?
Can you download anything in passive mode?

Valknut users beware

Can you please post this message?..........................

To all valknut users....as a hub owner I have unfortunately heard a lot of stories from other hub owners and experienced myself users not sharing in hubs. This has got to the point that a lot of hub owners are now talking about banning this client, which is unfair on a lot of genuine users. So please think and act responsibly. No one wants to see this happen as it defeats the purpose of the hubs ,i.e. sharing. But if users continue to disconnect people or not share then a lot of hub owners I know of WILL ban valknut.Your futurew is in your own hands people.

The new version of Messenger is here - download MSN Messenger 7.5 today!

And what this has to do with Valknut? Valknut (at least 0.3.5, which i
am using) doesn't have "features" for fake share. And on linux, i
don't even think that there are programs for fake share for dc++ -
these are available on Windows.

Disconnections

Hi, I have problems with some servers, I get disconnected after some
minutes after the connection, the problem is on linux with any DC
client (DC++ on wine, DC++ on vmware, dcgui-qt, linuxDC++), but does
no occur on Windows, i think the problem is on the distance of the
server (too many hops)...

Are there a way to debug why is getting diconnected?

Are there a way (on linux kernel or dcgui) to make longer timeouts
before disconnecting?

Thanks in advance
