German translation of Valknut

This mail goes to the german translators of Valknut, so it's written in German 
(if they're not on this list please forward the mail to them):

Mir ist klar, dass die Übersetzung von Valknut in eurer Freizeit und 
Ehrenamtlich passiert, aber ich würde euch trotzdem bitten in zukünftigen 
Versionen bitte nicht "Feierabend" anstelle von "Beenden" und "Was n dat?" 
anstelle von "Was ist das?" zu schreiben. Die Verwendung von Begriffen der 
Standardsprache und vorallem das Verwenden des richtigen Begriffs am 
richtigen Ort geben dem Programm einen professionelleren Eindruck und machen 
es meiner Meinung nach benutzerfreundlicher.

Ich hoffe, dass meine E-mail als konstruktive Kritik aufgefasst und nicht 
missverstanden wird.

Sind ja nur meine 2 €c. In diesem Sinne... :)

How about a "German_fun" and "_boring" selection ... then it's up to you to 
choose .... "net war" (right) ;-)

Same should/could be done in other languages to spice up life in general ;-)

filename encoding problem


Hi!

Valknut has problems with filename encoding. It is impossible to
download a file when it has Polish characters.
here is a screenshot

the Error is
Error: File Not Available

Is there any solution to this problem?

Hi Hubert,

This is due to a mismatch between filename encodings, you can make it 
work by changing the 'Remote' option (at the top right).  Try changing 
the Remote encoding to UTF-8, then re-add the file for download.  If it 
still says 'File not available' try some other encodings.  The guesswork 
is because we never know what language the other user is using for their 
files.

it works, thanks a lot. I changed Remote encoding to cp 1250 and I can
download now files with polish characters.
