can't see online MSN users

I am using centericq 4.21.0 on Fedora 6

While adding new msn users, they always offline.
workaround: add them by original msn messenger, which solved it.

Any suggestions, please.

Re: can't see online MSN users

Yes, please check the new project centerim (http://www.centerim.org).

There is a new fork created from the last stable centericq version,
but it has new features, bug fixes and others things, centericq is
dead for now (may be forever).

Regards.

Re: Centerim-4.22.1 and OS X

Hi,
the problem seems to come up while connecting to MSN. Try the lastest
version of CenterIM (http://www.centerim.org/) and report if you still
have the same issue. Thanks

Hey Stéphane

Same problem. I compile with:

./configure --disable-icq --disable-aim --disable-irc --disable-jabber
--disable-gg --disable-rss --disable-lj

And it crashes. With --disable-msn it's fine.

Russian in CenterICQ-4.21.0 OS X

Greetings,

I have just recently started studying the Russian language. I could
use some assistance with getting centerICQ-4.21.0 configured in OS X
to properly display the Russian fonts. Currently it just lists it
all as ???? marks.

Thanks for any input,
-Eric ;.,

You could have a look at the Window Settings of the "Terminal"
application. There is an item display, in which you can set the
Character Set Encoding.
I don't know what value you should use, but I don't think UTF-8 will
work.

I donno whether it's helpful, but what to putty under windows, it does well in cyrillic with the following settings:

centerim:
Switch to language preset : None
Remote charset : cp1251
Local charset : koi8-r

putty:
Received data assumed to be in which character set: KOI8-R
Handling of line drawing characters: Use Unicode

Good luck,
Tigran Zakoyan.
