He was right. You don't really think that the ideas of this latest generation
of {non} artists are anything new {or interesting} do you?

The idea that people buy into them {any concept} so completely is a bit
different.

I suppose the proof is in the pudding... all those new movements and exciting
concepts that have sprung up since the end of modernism {the eighties}.

There are only 26 letters in the English language. How close do you think we
are to using that up?

Paradiso shows January 18 & 19..anyone going?

Is there anyone on this list who will attend one of the "Paradiso"
shows in Potsdam next January (Wednesday 18th or Thursday 19th)? Or
someone who can convince me to see it again? ;-)

Ryuichi Sakamoto did a variant of this some years ago. On his website
you could start a virtual synthesiser and play; nothing new so far, but
then you could connect with other people and hear what the group was
playing. I also recall he used it in one of his public concerts, where
some of the musicians was on the other side of the Atlantic.

Tangerine Tree 8 ready for download

Hi!

I'm happy to announce that TT8 is ready for download from my FTP server
tt.rondua.de. Please use the username ftp and your full email address as
password to login. There are only 50 concurrent downloads allowed, so please
don't use too many parallel connections!

I will prepare a overview of the content of the release at
http://tt.rondua.de/tt08.htm .

The files will be available till 28.2.2006 and will then be removed from my
server. 

Have fun downloading and listening to the great music we all love!

Not at all. You just have to know where to look. Maybe the mainstream 
radio is declining rapidly, but in the progressive scene, there are a 
lot of new ideas going on (granted, a lot of progressive music 
reflects on older styles rather than trying to do brand new 
things) ... but even in my own mind, there are a lot of ideas which 
NOBODY has even thought to do yet.

It's about a whole lot more than the number of notes in a scale. It's 
about people not being inspired to create something new. And it bugs

I'll be there!

(Have to complete the trilogy after my Essen experience where I was in the
"wrong show"...)

But I'm not decided whether I'll be there on Wednesday or Thursday. Usually
the first concert of a series is the best one (is it really?), but Thursday
would be "cheaper" in terms of number of vacations days to spend on this...

Your Is Your Favourite Year(s) of TD Concerts?

For me it is 75 and 76:

Although I love some of the pre 75 concerts,

1975 had a lot of depth to the music, rich in meaty mellotrons,
sequencers, cosmic space effects, some concerts had great recording
quality such as Royal Albert Hall 4 April 1975

1976 had great sequencing, lots of nice guitar work, lots of great
melodies, ie Brussels Auditorium Paul-Emile Janson, Belgium 9th
February 1976, great combo of sequencing and guitar, nottingham 1976, etc

1977 on the otherhand: a lot of the concerts didn't really have a
great sound quality, and most of the concerts all sounded very
similiar to each other, most had the same structure for the concert,
with the odd expcetion of parts and songs, i.e Montreal Place Des Arts
9th April 1977 (what a stormer that was) much less improvisation then
the years before. Although the concerts that did exist were really great.
