Re: Kraftwerk Question.

Thomas:

While I love a lot of Kraftwerk's stuff (particularly the stuff from the
70s), I have never had a chance to see them. But when I found out they would
be in Chicago on Saturday, I quickly called one of my friends and business
associates, who is a BIG fan (he uses a computer picture of Ralf Hutter as
the avatar on one message board we frequent). He immediately bought tickets
for the gig. He says they put on one of the best shows around and exhoed
some of the same comments that other people had posted. If I lived in
Chicago (instead of North Carolina), I'd jump at the chance to see them.

Re: Kraftwerk Question.

David,

They are playing in Washington DC tonight which would have been
considerably closer to NC.
I opted not to go because the volume was so deafening last time I saw them
(in Chicago) even with ear plugs.
Check Independence Air for good fares to Chciago should you decide to go
after all.

I'd highly recommend it - the live show is brilliant!

I managed to get an advance copy and have given it plenty of spins

Yes, go! I saw them in 2002 and had a great time. There will be vocals, both
human and electronic.

SV: Kraftwerk Question.

Yes, I agree, you should absolutely go to the show. It's like nothing else , both visually and musically;
I've seen them 3 times. Most music is "pre-programmed", but they're adding solos and adding
molulation/treatment to is and I've heard several shows sounding different.

OT: Awakenings gig June 10th

Ian asked: OT: Anyone going to the Awakenings gig in Leeds the day before?

Hi Ian - Boombox and I will be there. You'llrecognise by my trademark
tangerine scarf (plus I'll probably be the only woman in the room apart from
the barstaff).

Hope to see you.

Re: Kraftwerk Question.

Thomas, take the chance to see them, it´s a great pleasure. I´ve been
to a gig last year in march in cologne and it was great. I did not
need ear-plugs, volume was moderate.

Listen to "Minimum-Maximum" if you have the chance to. It´s my
momentary favourite mp3-jogging-music :O)

Give us a short review after the show please!

Thanx,

Björn
