Rules and Guidelines for the Pancham Group
==========================================

Please take some time to go through these tips, guidelines, and rules that we go by on our group. Many of them
are universal in nature and apply to most Internet forums. Internalize them now and you will thank us
later. 

1. The group is meant to discuss Pancham and his music. If you want to post or discuss something that is not
focussed on Pancham, find a relevant group. Or, you can use our sister yahoogroup 'Panchamfans'.  

2. Currently the group permits postings in either English or Hindi languages in either Roman or Devanagari
(Unicode) scripts. If you want to post material in any other language, please provide a Hindi or English
translation or summary of the text.

3. The most important rule of netiquette is "Think before you post". If what you intend to post will not make a
positive contribution to the group and be of interest to several readers, don't post it! Personal
messages to one or two individuals should not be posted to the group, use private e-mail instead. 

4. Read the group postings for a while before you post anything. This helps you to get an understanding of the
culture of the group. 

5. Don't post test messages - wait until you have something to say. 

6. Be careful with humor and sarcasm. Without the voice inflections and body language of personal
communications, it is easy for a remark meant to be funny to be misinterpreted. Subtle humor tends to get
lost, so take steps to make sure that people realize you are trying to be funny. When posting humorous or
sarcastic comments, it is conventional to append a smiley, but don't overuse them.

7. When following up an article, quote the *minimum* necessary to give some context to your reply and be

Hi all,

with reference to Vipul's mail i had been to JAY MUSIC in zaveri bazaar
allthough i didnt find anything of Lord's hindi music (as they say that no
ones intrested now a days!!) i did find a (Pirated) cd called "Jiboner
pothe" as vipul had mentioned about the gathani DVD having few hits from RDs
bengali films this cd had soundtracks from 11 bengali films namely
sourtar
jhankar
lawrai
Ackrosh
i forgot the names of the other movies.

i guess its a good find and collectible item as these film tracks are not
much in circulation

please let me know your comments

Themes

I have become a member of this site recently and love to see some 
ardent RD fans here and really like the discussions as well. 
i have been trying to find the title themes of the Burning Train , 
Sholay and Shaan for quite some time . Can some one pls help

You set me thinking. Here is what I found. I've tried to be accurate, 
but, correct me if wrong (Note:- HFF: Hindi Feature films, BFF: 
similarly for Bengali, O: Oriya, M: Marathi). The main source of this 
is from panchamonline.com and addition on to it (by me) from various 
sources after that.

Kishore: 

HFF solos: 180, 
HFF with others: 541 – 180 = 361, 
BFF solos: 6, 
BFF with others: 17 – 6 = 11,
Adhunik: 6, 
Unreleased HFF solos: 9, 
Unreleased HFF with others: 16 – 9 = 7,
Total = 580

Amit:

HFF solos: 17, 
HFF with others: 89 – 17 = 72, 
BFF solos: 23, 
BFF with others: 45 – 23 = 22,
OFF: 2
Adhunik: 6, 
Hindi non-HFF: 2 (non-solo)
Unreleased HFF solos: 3, 
Unreleased HFF with others: 9 – 3 = 6,

here without complete information. There is no mention in your post 
below that a registration is required for the download. Also that 
all questions related to this should be sent to you and not posted 
on the group.

In any case, I think this is getting too frequent. Posting messages 
here for every upload on ourhfm.com (or anywhere else for that 
matter) is not a bright idea and creates unnecessary noise for most 
people. Besides I have received many mails from members who are 
annoyed with these frequent postings. 

So in future please don't post messages here that are simply 
pointers for downloading a file/clip from another forum.

am clicking at the 'Submit my registration' button after giving all the

i think its too harsh on your part to scold mr. 'SO CALLED' JS.
he is, as always, at his best trying to help out others.  after all he
is so generous..  generosity needs support may be in the form of PAYPAL
ACCOUNTS.  [:)]
sometimes he acknowledges that he has not taken your permission to post
'vartaalaap' of meri sangeet yatra / sangeet sarita.. so meticulously
posted by you here.
but that all is in the interest of my friends who are mad about pancham
da as  am  i.  an effort applaudible and generously supported by me.
I STILL FEEL GUITLY  [:((]  OF SUGGESTING IN THIS FORUM ABOUT UPLOADING
ON ... well that is a barred issue !
rather than scolding sir you should appreciate his efforts

I think 1st of all warnings need 2 b given 2 those crooks here who r 
good for nothing but just wasting our time,taking the goodies and 
then like the so called double standard creatures speak bullshit.

The links that I hv posted.........u can ask ur dear group members 
as how many of them got immensely benefitted from.And its clearly 
stated that anything related 2 the link one needs 2 ask in teh forum 
concerned.So I really dn't knw where from u got this information of 
members getting annoyed.maybe they got annoyed becos of some reason 
which its better I dn't discuss here.

I dn't mind not posting any links of ourhfm here..........but u need 
2 ensure that the same hold true for any such links if any one posts 
here.Hope I made myself clear.
