looking for musicians

Hello all..
             My name is matt and i live in macomb michigan. macomb 
is in the metro detroit area about 30 mins north of the city. like 
all of you here i very much enjoy the music of Owain Phyfe. i had 
the pleasure of meeting Owain and listening to his music at the MI 
renaissance fest. i was instantly hooked. i'm posting today in hopes 
of finding people living in the metro detroit area that might be 
interested in getting together from time to time to play 
renaissance, medieval or celtic music. i play the bass myself and 
would enjoy getting together with other musicians of ANY skill 
level, sex, age, race...ect  it also doesn't matter if you play 
electric or acoustic, sing or just write lyrics. any or all of these 
things would be most welcome. my aim here is really just to meet new 
people and have a good time. if anyone is interested please feel 
free to e-mail me! 

on a side note, thank you for putting together this group. i was 
very excited when i found out about it.

Hello!

You might want to try getting in touch with some of the members of the
SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) in your general area. I know
there are several active music groups up that way -- they may not be
keen on your bass for the medieval/Renaissance reenactment events, but
they may well know of people who just want to get together and jam.

You can reach Lady Elynor Grey, the Mistress of Arts & Sciences for the
Barony of Cynnabar, at  moas (at) cynnabar (dot) org 

And if you're ever in the greater Philadelphia area, you're more than
welcome to come sit in with my group!
