Northampton show review

I wish I could have gone to the Iron Horse show, but events conspired
against me. Lacking a personal review, I present instead a link to the local
paper's review.

And yaye to those YouTube videos mentioned in the newsletter. Mimi on the
Beach was quite... Something. Jane with frosted pink lipstick and
eyeliner/mascara.. Wow!

David Johansen

Hi,

In a recent interview with David Johansen (New York Dolls) in a Belgian
magazine, he was asked to name his all time favourite album... He
declared 'When I Was A Boy' to be his favourite. Should be more
artists/people like that.

Hey everyone. Hope all is well. I am just curious if anyone is going to
catch Issa's shows? Haven't heard much from people who have.

Re: (no subject)

And not I as well. I guess seeing her twice in about as many years in
Chi-town was asking enough. There just wasn't enough time to change
plans once the dates were announced.

I'm getting so concerned about Jane's fan base. I wonder if anyone
else is feeling kind of left out. I get the whole "myspace" thing, just
opt not to participate. Not techno-phobic per say, I just don't think
it's for me. And one is left out of a lot of information if one won't
register, and I'm not feeling it.

I'm also discouraged about not being able to ever buy a new Jane/Issa
cd. Again, I have an I-pod and am not afraid of it or anything. I just
know I'll be longing to hold the jewel box in my hand and read the notes
for any inside jokes or references. Now, it's all lines and circles.
Bits and bytes or whatever.

I don't much think I care for it this way. I miss Jane. I miss the
website and everything it used to have. Now, I'm feeling like the
website is only for obtaining digital music and viewing myspace entries.

or is it just me....?

Re: (no subject)

So, are you guys saying that you're not interested in her music anymore? As
far as the MP3 thing goes, I too like to buy CDs but she made a good point
about it cutting down on plastic waste.

Re: (no subject)

No, I'm still interested in her music, just nostalgic for the old Jane.
