Re: transition

Postage stamps of bears??

This is the most esoteric collection I can imagine!

Also, very quite nordic, in a Jane kind of way.

Beyond

Hi all,

apparently there's an interview with Jane in the current issue of this
esoteric-looking magazine, called Beyond: looks interesting, I don't think
you'll find this one at your local grocery check out!

Re: transition

Hmmm, interesting, I had never thought that my topic could called
esoteric... For example, I know a collector who has chosen to collect
postage stamps featuring hands. I was quite stunned when I once saw the
heading "Hands on Postage Stamps" in an exhibition catalog.

By the way, here is one of my all-time favorites:

Re: transition to bears

You are quite right, Jarmo. I went to that excellent site, and indeed,
there are scores of stamps of bears. Nothing esoteric about it! Including a
number from the US (we have them in our neighborhood, upper NY state: both
Bears, and stamps....), which I was not aware of.

My favorite so far: very charming 1991 stamp from Sweden of "bear and other
animals."

thanks,

Bruce

PS Once upon a time Swedish stamps were my favorites of all. Tho I don't
know if they've maintained that ideal aesthetic.

PPS OFFICIAL JANE CONTENT:

Re: transition to bears

Didn't Jane say in "I Muse Aloud" something like "Cows are going to show
us the way"?

I guess I could say the same thing about bears!

Re: transition to bears

I think Jane's advice is, 'Look out for the bears'! -Meaning, I guess, 'pick
up some interesting stamps while you're out'.
