iTunes: "Boards of Canada" "Chameleon" "Music70" 28.10.2010

around 28th october, this track Chameleon popped up on iTunes. found out
about it via Ping. either way, apparently the front cover of the track is
simply a copy of the Susumu Yokota (?) album Kaleidoscope's front cover.
also, the track was posted on YouTube 1,5 years ago and was considered a
total fake back then (dbglitch on drums?!)
mailed bleep and got this response:

This is not a Boards of Canada track and Warp Records are requesting for
this track to be removed. We appreciate you taking the time to inform us of
this.

All the best,
Bleep Support.

Radio Stations for Electronic / Shoegaze Music

Hi Everyone

I'm after radio stations that are a good recommendation to send a CD single
of electronic-indie music?

I'd really appreciate your views.

themobius: Playlist :: November 3, 2010

http://themobius.livejournal.com/101844.html

Listen to this week's archive! Playlist rolls over every
week.<http://www.wrek.org/playlist.php/main/128kbs/current/MOB.m3u>
------------------------------
Tonight's special guest:

<http://themobius.livejournal.com/www.tricil.net>
John Jacobus from Atlanta, GA has released a handful of cross-pollinated
solo EP’s since 1998 under the name TRICIL. TRICIL has always been a genre
blurring project, mainly sticking to melodic IDM with harsh industrial and
slight dubstep and electro flourishes. A guitarist at heart, many TRICIL
songs, such as The Emancipation, take their origin on the guitar before
being translated in to the electronic realm.

Accolades include playing live keyboards for German electronic act Haujobb
in 2007, doing Ableton Live programming for Goodie Mob in early 2010, and
one time getting on stage with Pigface to sing “Suck” and “Supernaut” on
Thanksgiving 2001. Industrial legend Chris Connelly unplugged John’s mic for
coming in 8 bars too early – this is a true story. Other credits include two
Nerd Parade albums and tours, a full length with The Secret Life and remixes
for Celldweller, Recompas, Architect, and Haujobb.

In 2010, TRICIL released The Emancipation on Clear Notice Records garnering
Hype Machine recognition and a critically acclaimed music video released via
unique iPad application.

SF: Saturday! [KONTROL] presesnts Jeremy P. Caulfield, Dave DK, & Jason Short (live)

Saturday, November 6th, 2010

[ K O N T R O L ]

minimal techno + avant house
every 1st Saturday at The Endup

featuring from Toronto via Berlin:

::: JEREMY P. CAULFIELD :::

(Dumb-Unit . Trapez . WMF Records)
(Ware . Num . Alphahouse . Adjunct)

Toronto ex-pat Jeremy P. Caulfield is the man behind the acclaimed
"neuro-minimal" label Dumb-Unit, and a globally respected DJ/producer
of over 15 years. His sophisticated take on intricate techno and minimal
has taken him around the world, playing both live and DJing at some
of the best clubs and festivals around (Mutek, DEMF, Fabric, Fuse)
in addition to holding down a residency at Berlin's famed Watergate club.
When Jeremy last played for us, due to some technical misshaps he
was unable to play the set he'd prepared, and yet, practically "flying
blind", still delivered one of the most memorable sets of recent years.
We're stoked to have him back, and can't wait to hear him at full power!

and also from Berlin:

::: DAVE DK :::

(Moodmusic . Playhouse . Raum...Musik)
