I now have found a much better solution: I suddenly remembered I had
removed the 6 GB harddisk from my broken Falcon and it should be
somewhere. I found the disk in a big box full of old garbage.

I bought an empty USB 2.5" harddisk case and put the Falcon hardddisk in
it.

Then I configured ARAnyM to use this USB storage device as bootdisk.

I started ARAnyM ... and the Falcon desktop that I had not seen since 10
years appeared on my Linux Laptop screen. All the files were still there!

I started the GfaBasic editor and loaded the YSEDITOR 2.7 source.

I found and fixed the offending bug within 5 minutes. I simply had typed
'*' somewhere instead of '+' :-)

I compiled ... linked ... and a bugfixed version of YSEDITOR was born. At
this moment it is being tested by the 2 guys who reported the bug. If
everything is OK it will be released to the public one of these days.

First I will release a bugfix release of YSEDITOR. I think I will number
it version 2.71.

Later I also want to put my YSEDITOR PLUS/V50/FB01 GFA source code unline
under the GNU Public Licence.

And there is more interesting stuff on my old harddisk that needs to be
explored. Very nice YS200 and V50 sounds for example.

I must do a little cleaning up first. I have a lot of files, pre-release
versions, bad versions, test versions ...

I want to have all the usable files together in one package.

YSEDITOR PLUS 2.76 bugfix release !

Hi,

Important news for all users of my ATARI program YSEDITOR PLUS.

In April 2011 two different people found a serious bug in the YSEDITOR
PLUS version 2.75 from 2003. (The Osc. Wave and Fine Frequency were lost
when trying to save the editbuffer voice in the bankmanager)

Now, in May 2011, I am proud to present YSEDITOR version 2.76 that fixes
this bug. The zipfile that is on my website is still named ysedt2_7.zip
but now contains the bugfixed version.

Go to http://yseditor.atari.org or http://atari.martintarenskeen.nl and
get the new version.

Soon: I am planning to also release the sources in the near future ...

Have fun!

I just uploaded a new new version :-) The previous version was OK, but the
info alertbox and the opening screen still showed the old version number
and year.

FC7 equivilent

Hi Folks
I was given a Lowery keyboard volume pedal yesterday. It is really a potentiometer mounted sideways with the "knob" on the pot controlled by a foot pedal cantilever. It has a six foot chord with a mono 1/4 jack..

Does anyone know what the resistance values are for an actual FC7.
Min and max ohms...

Thanks ahead

dumping patch banks from dx7 mk1 with grey matter board installed

I am not able to get dx manager to take any of the patches/banks, and midiquest will only recieve the first 7 of the 32 patches intact, and the text for the remaining patches is jibberish. does anyone have experience with or success stories using an grey matter equipped dx7 with patch librarians?

my setup is an xp laptop using a bcr2000 to connect with the dx7

I can recieve bank dumps into the dx7 without a hitch when the memory protect off and sysex enable is on

thanks in advance for any help/advice!

Loren
