It has nothing to do with your Linux installation. If you still can't remember it then you can go into your slimserver.pref file, find the password property and delete the hash (the crazy numbers and letters) that follow it then find the username property and memorize your username. Save the file and restart slimserver. You'll then be able to log in with the username you found in the .pref file (just leave the password blank--you deleted it). Will def try without WEP security, so no passphrase required I assume.

Im hoping this isnt the case, as ideally i would open the notebook
case, start it powering up, and close the case and the wireless would
do its thing automatically (without manually having to 'connect')...

Thats good, i was hoping i wasnt going to get short changed on
bandwidth, that would then affect SQ.. (but i only have 192Kbit MP3's
anyway..)
