GI-10 guitar out mod challenge

Well I attempted the GI-10 mod, and got the guitar out of the rear panel. That works. Problem is I lost my synth
switch capability... In synth position, I hear synth only (midi is sent). Mix position I get both guit and
synth, but in guitar position, I get BOTH guitar and midi...

help? What did I do?

Re: Fishman TriplePlay details

Ian,

Let me rephrase it:

If you run you TP into your softsynth and the 13-pin is connected to an hardware synth: no issues.

If both TP and your 13-pin gear go to the SAME computer: you may get redundant and/or conflicting midi
messages unless you patch the different inputs to different synths.

Re: Re: Fishman TriplePlay details

Thanks, I got that, I was wondering if there would be a chance of interference from radio waves.  I have a
notion to try running my GR55 or my Axon along with the new unit after it becomes available.

Apologies if its already been asked: Will the TriplePlay work out of the
box with Roland gear? (VG99, GR55, etc)?

has anybody installed a GK-3 on a hollow body guitar, like Gibson L5 ? (actually, I own a similar guitar, not
the original Gibson, otherwise I would not think yo make such modification to an expensive guitar)

My problems are:
- the height of the bracket provided with the GK-3 is not as high as the guitar body width
- if I use screw to fix the exa pick-up I may damage the guitar, but on the cntrary using only the glue tape I
imagine it will not be a reliable solution

any suggestion ?

Kind regards

Franco

Re: Fishman TriplePlay details

No.

The Fishman Triple Play is a self-contained guitar to midi system. It has a pickup and a processing unit that
sends midi via wireless into your computer. You won't need a VG99 or GR55.

(To make a comparison, it's like the Shadow system, but wireless -- and a LOT faster, more accurate, etc.)

However, if your guitar has a piezo pickup (like the Godin LGX-SA/LGXT-SA) and a 13-pin output, you can run
FTP into your computer and still plug your 13-pin into your Roland system.

Why piezo only? Because if you guitar has a GK pickup, it's (likely) impossible to mount the FTP and the
existing pickup together.

Ian,

Probably not. The Axon/Roland gear is away from your guitar. As far as I know the piezo preamps would not interfere.

You may have issues, however, if you use wireless FM transmitters/receivers for your guitar audio,
microphone, in-ear monitor, etc.
