K2000 rackmount

On my K2000 the metal-elbows for rackmount are missing.
Does someone know where to get it?

[K2500] Don't start - yellow screen

Hi,
while i was playing my Kurzweil K2500 i have listened in output some 
scratch and a low volume of my sounds.
After reset of the keybord, the K2500 doesn't start anymore, and i can 
view only a yellow display.

Please Help me, thanks.

Tack Pianos

Is it just me or is there a surprising lacking in the K2500's offerings in
pianos outside the normal grand? There are some nice choices for a grand or
electric piano (although I'd like more of those too) but I am a little
unsatisfied with the tack and honky-tonk options. My Yamaha S90ES has great
sounds on both of those but I'm trying to leave that at home. Anyone know of
any sounds, including sampled sounds (I have a zip drive and 32MB of sample
ram) you can point me to?

Re: Tack Pianos

There is a CD available called the "Post Organ" which has a directory called "Prep Piano"
 although it is more of a "Prepared" piano like one of the post-modern composers used (Cage???).  I'm not
sure that it is close to a tack piano, I only use the pipe organ sounds from the CD.

Putting a daughterboard in my K2600R......can I use the Orch & Contenp Rom blocks that are in the K2000 &
K2500 in this daughterboard or are the rom blocks for the 2600 daughterboard proprietary to that board ????????

The ROMs are the same in the 2000, 2500, 2600 series.  Different ones in the PC1&2 series.

RAM Issues

I purchased a single 128 MB Simm module for my K2600XS to upgrade from a single 64 MB SIMM.? Low and behold,
when I fired it up, the unit still says that there is only 64 MB.? I powered down and replaced the 128 MB with
the 64 MB unit and suddenly I now show only 32 MB instead of 64MB.? Anyone have any idea what might be going on here?

The module was purchased from a known Kurz. memory dealer.??I will choose not to identify the dealer at this point.

Sustain Pedal Input Not Working

I have a K2500X and this morning I noticed my sustain pedal wasn't working so I tried another pedal. I also
looked at UTIL>MIDI and saw nothing getting transmitted when I pressed the pedal. Assuming it's a problem
with the plug in the back of the keyboard, how do I universally assign the pedal to one of the other three
jacks?

KB3 Mode Front Panel Label ?

Do ya'll know if Kurzweil ever actually made a peel-off, stick on KB3 Mode Front Panel Label for the K2500? 
(Ya' know, to be put on the synth after the KB3 mode was added)  

I see that there is a "printable" one on the last page of the K2500 Operating System Version 2.5x (KB3
Mode)Release Notes booklet... but, I was kinda thinking that there might've been a really cool
"professional" lable to stick on the synthesizer.

And I fully realize that I probably wouldn't be able to find one anyway... since the K2500s are not being
produced any longer, but I thought I'd ask anyway.  

I sure do love my K2500X, and thought that the stick-on lable (if it ever really existed) would be nice to
have.

Did you check the pedal with a meter?

If so, maybe you can go to the Default Setup (probably #97)
and reassign the switch pedals there.
