ebay: Motion Sound KBR-3D Amp/Leslie Sim in custom road case

Hi all,

Pardon the sales pitch.

I'm selling my Motion Sound amp. It's like new and comes in a serious road
case. It's a fantastic complement to KB3 mode:

Thank you!

PC2R-O Instrument Definition for Cakewalk Studio?

I just added a Kurzweil PC2R-O (orchestral ROM) to my suite, but am having
difficulty getting the instrument lists and drum maps into Cakewalk Studio.
My Kurzweil.ins file contains just about every other instrument except for
the PC2R-O, PC2, etc.

I spent a couple hours trying to manually create the list from the PDF
manual tables, but even though I formatted the list in the same manner as
K2500 instruments that are already in my definition list, Cakewalk didn't
seem to retrieve it.

Does anyone have an INS file for the PC2R-O that I could have?

I may be able to build the instrument list with a great deal more time and
energy expended, but the drum maps would be yet another story.

SonikMatter seems to be offline today, so I'll post this here in the hopes
that someone can share information on the PC2 instruments.

Take care,

Mark & Mary Ann Weiss

So who writes the e-mails? Mark or Mary Ann? Or does one get to type
every odd numbered word, and the other all the even numbered ones? :-)

That'll usually be me, the Mark in the family.
We don't type with four hands, but we've been known to play four hand piano.

Kurzweil K2000VP

Hi there, just for the record. Someone wrote

"The
VP is just a 2000 with the Orch and Contemporaty
roms".

The orchestral and contemporary rom were not fitted as
standard in the K2000VP but were an optional updgrade.

It does, however, have the waveform ROM of the K2500.

For full spex see
www.kurzweilmusicsystems.com/html/k2000vp.html

However the K2000VP is jolly nice and is not at all
aircraft carrier size like the K2500 ;0) which is good
for taking them out and about.

I think I got all the upgrades for mine. The PRAM is a
must even though it requires soldering iron skills.
Get the maximum 64meg of memory, if you'll think
you'll need it!:o)

Also check for OS 3.87 too ( the latest and final).
The orchestral and contemporary rom are handy but
pricey. Handy as in you only get 64 meg of RAM so
having as much ROM as possible is a good thing. I now
mostly use the excellent Sonic Implant, Bolder sounds
and Keysolutions CDs as starting points with mine.

So, it had a few waveforms moved around where they didn't use to go, and
about 200k of drum samples (1/5th of a meg) switched around because the
noisefloor was a little more evidant in those samples and thus Kurzweil
rerecorded them so that you could use the added headroom the 2500 gave
ya.

Sorry about the Orch / Contemp mistake. I thought that was also
included in the VP standard.

Past that, IT'S A K2000!!! AND NOTHING MORE!!!!

Your Orchestral ROM board (or the PC2R-O) should have come with a CD-
ROM that is titled "PC2Series". There are Cakewalk Instrument
definitions (.ins) on the CD that include all of the Orchestral
programs.

If you can't find the CD, send me an email, and I will sent them to
you. There are four files:
- KurzPC2.ins
- KurzPC2Drums.ins
- KurzPC2DrumsGMReMap.ins
- KurzPC2DrumsReMap.ins

battery problem

My K2500RS batteries were changed a month ago, and I haven't used it for
about 3 weeks. When I booted today, it did initialize and said that my batteries
are low...0.4 volts, and under this, it said Battery 26, whatever that is.
This is the second time it happened in the last few months, so I thought perhaps
the original batteries were bad, but two times in a row would eliminate that
supposition. Before this, the batteries lasted about 2 years without any
problem. Any ideas, or suggestions?

Thanks,
Stan

I was able to download these four files from the Kurzweil web FTP site, but
alas, there's no Orchestral Bank 2 for the extended ROM option that I have.
Also missing is Bank 7, the percussion sets from the Ext ROM option.

Do you know where I can get those?

My PC2R-O was a factory refurb and didn't come with any software.

Take care,
