Yahoo mail spam

It's been a while since I posted. As co-moderater, I want to determine how many of who use yahoo e-mail have
lately experienced an increase in spam mail on a daily basis? I suspect it is coming from a "harvester" of
e-mail addresses connected with Yahoo Groups. I say this because none of my other e-mail accounts having
no connection with Yahoo Groups are experiencing spam at all.

This has happened in the past. Someone either in this group or other yahoo group may be collecting e-maill
addresses for the purpose of distributing spam messages.

I'd be interested in hearing your concerns.

Cheers,
Jim (EJ2)

Re: Yahoo mail spam

Yes, I am receiving that spam, plus others related to performance enhancing pills, casino partnerships,
false bank requests, etc. It seems this has just recently happened. I'm also suspecting a leak at yahoo as
well. Notice the "Scheduled Maintenance" advisement concerning the calendar at the top as well.

Thanks for confirming.

Re: Yahoo mail spam

That's exactly what I believe too. None of my other email accounts outside of yahoo are experiencing spam.
This is one of the reasons I posted the question. We've been lucky so far with spam messages in this group.
That's because I monitor who gets to join and whenever spam is posted, I delete it and ban the author.
