New price list and a new bundle of combis for your Karma.

GREAT NEWS, folks.
I have just made some major price reductions on EJ2 Combi Sets. Now
there are 3 sets at $20 US, 2 sets at $25, 1 set at $35, 2 sets at
$39, and 1 set at $49. Ask me for a further discount for ordering 3
or more sets.

In addition, at the suggestion of one of my clients, I have
organized a new bundle of 70 combis called The NET. This collection
contains all of the combis that were not included in The Best of ETM
plus some new designs displaying jazz horn lines and riffs as well
as some really punchy Techno-Trance patterns. The new additions came
from revoicing a few EDGES and TETRA combis and from new designs
developed from scratch. I think you'll dig them.

Check it all out at the Combi Collections Gallery linked in my
signature below.

Cheers,
Eric

Software advice?

Howdee Karma folks--

I'm the proud owner of a Karma as well as a Triton Exreme (76 key). I've been
recording via the Korg 1200mkII digital recording studio but want to now also
dwelve into some computer software recording, editing, and arranging. Right
now, I'm leaning towards either Apple Pro Logic Express or Sonar 5 home studio
(not sure if it's out yet...I realize Sonar's PC only).
Any suggestions, comments, or advice?
Thanks--

hi eric, sorry, but you're wrong. ;-)

true, the karma has a vocoder, but no mic or line inputs. but the
oasys does. and it's a better vocoder. you can definitely input a
mic or line input and vocode your voice/sample. the oasys has 4
audio inputs, you plug a mic right into it and it can be the
modulator for the vocoder. i do it all the time. and here's another
thing for you: ifx in the oasys have 'presets' - you can store
different ifx settings as presets in a preset menu up in the corner
of each ifx. so it's very close to the same, actually, sorry.

don't be so hasty about ruling out the oasys. please check into
the details, before dispensing information that something
doesn't exist. and check it out for more than an hour or two. it has
whole levels of features that most people don't know about until

Re: oasys vocoder

Wow, thank you for that correction, Dorian. That's great news to
me. To be truthful, I haven't really had a chance to do a great
deal of hands-on assessment of the OASYS. So, this note helps. To
be sure, I haven't rule out the OASYS as a contender to eventually
find its way to my studio.

It's not the first time I've been hasty with a comment ;-) that
required redress. LOL
Cheers,
Eric

PS: How many OASYS owners are their in this group?

Re: oasys vocoder

Dorian,

I appreciate these type of posts as the one you made
about the oasys. Saving IFX settings is something I
wish the other $2k dollar workstations had. I guess in
the Tritons you could save a setting to an unused
program and copy it over, but thats way cumbersome and
I know this as I'm writing it, but I wanted to put it
out there so no one would write me back telling me
about it as work around, lol.

Re: Care and caution needed when loading Triton PCGs into Karma.

Hi guys,

I'm sure most you have an editor of somesort already but if not and
are shopping around Karma EditPro would probably make your
organizing a little easier. It has the multiple group drag and drop
set up in the Librarian feature now.

It is easy to save all your preset to your HD and work from there.

cheers
