Re: Backlight [etc.]
Hi Antoine,
yes, I can hear a high pitched noise coming from the power supply zone, so I guess that the inverter is
working?!?! now I need to ask a friend to do the soldering job, hoping this will cure it...
all in all my K5 needed and still needs some tlc...
...consider that it is opened since day 1: one panel side is broken so I'm gonna have some custom made WOODEN
sides [that would also provide a more vintage look; I'm thinking my K3 would look cooler too with some
wooden sides, so I intend to also scrap those ugly plastic things...]
aftertouch was a big problem too, so I tweaked VR1 and VR2 in MI-004... before doing that, not evern the
hardest pressure could result in any aftertouch action... midi-ox showed that aftertouch had no vital
signs at all! it was virtually disengaged...
now aftertouch works OK... actually, I think K3's aftertouch is better, but velocity-wise there's no
contest: K5's is far better!
greetings
Fabio
