So tell me, exactly who is it then that is calling for the government backstop underwater mortgages and renegotiating principle balances based on the "homeowner's ability to pay"? Who is it that is also proposing to backstop 2nd mortgages and home equity loans and backstop credit cards. Who is it that is suggesting we give billions of taxpayer dollars to failing automakers, insurance companies and other non-banks? All of these things are socialist policies implemented by this congress and our president and not spoken out against by McCain or Obama.
