Movie Night

OK..here are the choices tonight.

It's International film night. If I get no hardy recommendations
here, then it is back to the states to finish the series with Ocean's
13.

Out of the Blue (New Zealand)
DayWatch (Russia)
The Host (Korea)
?!Revolucion!? (Canada/Argentina)
Once (Ireland)
La Mome (La Vie En Rose) (France)
Death At A Funeral (UK)

regards,
-Lance

I've not seen the movie but still remember the day it happened and
watching the news with shock. That sort of thing just didn't happen in
New Zealand - in fact it still doesn't.

Between those two, I'd go for Day Watch.

I don't think I've seen this one, if it's the one I think it is. But if
this is the documentary by Naomi Klein and her hubby, about blue-collar
workers taking over an Argentinian factory, then I *have* seen it. (Oh,
wait, *that* movie was called The Take. Okay, I don't know this one.)

This movie has its fans, but how you respond to the film will depend to a
great degree on how you respond to the music. I tend to agree with the
critic who said there's a fine line between, um, earnestness and
preciousness, I think were the two words he/she used.

Haven't seen these two.

Kosmos Express?

I was searching on e-bay and came across something supposedly put out by Gene Eugene, Terry Taylor, and Rob Watson called Kosmos Express.  Anyone ever heard of this?

Nope. (Did you mean to post this to the non-OT list?)

Re: Kosmos Express?

I probably should have, but I haven't posted there in years.  I don't even know the address anymore.  Could you forward it there for me?

Rather simplistic, don't you think?

It is interesting that they acknowledge minority hostility toward
whites. What do they call it if it isn't racism, reverse racism, or
... ? "Just desserts"?

La Vie En Rose
====
Edith Piaf has had my veneration for decades. If the flick treats her memory with any accuracy it should be a pick, given that the soundtrack stands up. It's 9:30 my time so you probably have already made your pick.  I didn't know this movie existed so this is really a hat tip,

Yeah, I still don't have the latest Lost Dogs album. I think I've
been having a bit of a music fatigue syndrome over the past year...
it's taken me forever to buy some albums, and I'm still behind,
despite some of them being by favourite artists.
