Jerry Garcia Tribute at IOTA

Hi folks,

Well, I'm nicely refreshed and sufficiently sunburned from my vacation
to the Outer Banks.  I wanted to let you know that I'll be playing with
Joe Uehlein and friends in the Jerry Garcia Tribute (10th anniversary of
his passing) at IOTA /this/ Tuesday night.  Here are the details from

         Jerry Garcia Tribute / 10th Anniversary of His Passing

Iota Club to Feature The U-Liners, Lester Chambers of the Chambers
Brothers, The Big Sky, Barry Warsaw, Akira Otsuka, and More

The first-ever Washington-area tribute to Jerry Garcia will hit the Iota
Club on August 9th, marking the 10th anniversary of Garcia’s passing. 
The U-Liners - - a new roots-rock group (www.uliners.com) featuring some
of DC’s best musicians -- will be joined by Lester Chambers of the
Chambers Brothers, The Big Sky, and others for the tribute.  

Joe Uehlein & The U-Liners will offer a full range of Garcia’s music - -
from Grateful Dead favorites, to his forays into jazz, folk, bluegrass,
R&B, country, rock, and more from 35 years of making music.  The
U-Liners will feature vocals, guitars, mandolin, fiddle, bass &
percussion.  Lester Chambers will bring his legendary vocals and
harmonica to the mix.  The Big Sky has worked up some very cool
arrangements!
