Not really. What browser/platform are you using? Is that a problem
specific to a particular browser? Have your tried a different one?

For example, I have noticed that Apple's Safari 1.2.4 (v125.12) has
indeed some intermittent problem displaying HTTPS pages consistently.
But this is not a problem specific to ZOË, rather one peculiar to
Safari.

Cheers,

Yes. ZOË always favor text representation. If none is found, whatever
is there is converted to text.

No. There are many issues related to displaying random pieces of HTML
inside an HTML page, security being one among them. Additionally, the
text conversion is always necessary for indexing purpose. That said,
you can always view the original HTML representation as it's made
available as a link in the message toolbar.

ox x mails fetches all but latest mail

Hello,
I really really like Zoë, what a great piece of software
but my mail progam (OS X Mail) only fetches all but the very latest
mail from Zoe
i.e I always have to look into Zoes Web UI in order to see the very latest mail
what could be wrong?
thanks a lot for any insight

I have the same problem and have reported it in the past, but haven't gotten around to setting things up to get
a nice concise debug log of the issue.

It's easy to turn on debugging, but by the time the problem occurs, the log is quite large and would be
difficult for Rafaël to work with, so I've been dragging my heels on setting things up to produce a minimal
debugging log that shows the problem. You're welcome to beat me to the punch on this if you want :)

I'd also like to mention that this problem is definitely a Zoë bug and is not caused any particular mail
client because I've seen the effect in PMMail/2, Mozilla Mail and MS Outlook.

One additional data point that might be of use in debugging the problem is that Zoë only seems to hold back
one email even if there are two accounts. So, getting one more email for a second account will allow you to
fetch ALL of the messages for the first account. This might provide the seeds for a somewhat unpleasant
work-around where you create a bogus second account to fetch dummy emails to trick Zoë into letting you
get all the messages for your real account.

Do you mean that the built-in POP3 server is always off by one email?

Hmmm... OK... lets try to figure this one out :)

If you start ZOË in debug mode, you can see the entire POP3 session
from the server point of view:

% java -jar Zoe.jar debug

Here is a typical POP3 session between ZOË and Apple's Mail.app 1.3.9
(v619/619.2):

s: +OK Hi
c: USER username
s: +OK
c: PASS password
s: +OK Welcome
c: STAT
s: +OK 1702 6808000

accessing ZOE via HTTPS

Dear ZOErs,

have any of you access ZOE using secure HTTP? I'm not sure why, but I'm
experiencing the following behaviour: sometimes I need to click twice or
even
thrice (!) on links to make them work... I was wondering if this is HTTP
server's fault (ZOE is using Simple), but looking at its project page has
left
me clueless.

Anybody has any ideas?
