I appreciate your kind offer.

I have received some donation offers, but I'm not ready to accept
donations yet.

I'm thinking of using PayPal, but currently its donation feature seems
to be disabled in Japan for legal reasons.

[sylpheed:35150] Re: Sylpheed 3.2beta6 released

I'm having a printing problem with this version that I don't
recall noticing before. I have the side margins in Page Setup set to
0.25", but the printed sheet is cutting off the right side of email
text. When I adjust the software scaling on the printer (Brother
HL-2270DW laser), it doesn't hold, which brings me back to Sylpheed. Is
there a way to adjust the printing in Sylpheed, or is this a bug?
Thanks,

Gene

And its still paypal. Remember the issues Tortoise had maybe 2 years ago
and last year during wikileaks-topic German Wau-holland-Stiftung which
is collection donations e.g. for EFF (Tor) and Wikileaks....

I would just like to agree entirely with this. I went full-time on linux ten
years ago, and the first thing I looked for was a MUA. I found
sylpheed (I have been on this mailing list for 10 years), and it has been in
daily use since then without ever giving me reason to complain. Many of us
must owe Hiroyuki a great deal in the donations that he will not yet accept.

I still have three problems:

- I still have to edit imap.c to have Sylpheed look for "+" instead
of "+ " from the IMAP server as a trigger to send the password.

- With a filter that is executed on receiving to copy new messages
from my IMAP INBOX to my MH inbox, I still have to click on another
sub-mailbox and then back on the inbox to see the new messages in
  my MH inbox.

- A filter to move messages older than one day from my IMAP INBOX to
my IMAP Trash does not work.

Sorry about that. I forgot to include the fix :)

[sylpheed:35156] How to make sylpheed portable?

I moved the mailboxes and .sylpheed-2.0 to another drive,
and made a symlink in $HOME to .sylpheed-2.0,
and it seems to work.

Later I made a new mailbox, but it was made in $HOME.

What is the correct way to make sylpheed portable?

[sylpheed:35157] Re: How to make sylpheed portable?

I see what I did wrong, when making a new mailbox I used the default location rather than navigating to the new destination.

Digging deeper I found an example for Windows to make Sylpheed portable, then tried the same for Linux and it
worked. Rather than using a symlink:

--configdir /mnt/home/sylpheed/.sylpheed-2.0

Do you have any comments?
