[sylpheed:31778] Feature request: Zip/Unzip of attachments

Hi list,

Long time ago, Kmail got a nice feature to zip attached files before
sending them. I don't know, if it still include this feature, but I'm
looking for a similar feature for Sylpheed to zip and unzip attached
files. Is there any chance for something like that?

Many providers (incl. Gmail) refuse ZIP attachments.

And many don't.

And there are quite a few that refuse .EXE attachments, but not ZIP
attachments.

And some have size limits that zipping can help avoid.

I like the idea...

[sylpheed:31781] New feature request

Dear all,

I would find it very usefull if i could search for
messages based on colours. As all of you know, in
sylpheed it is possible to mark e-mails with different
colours, but you can not order them by colour (i.e:
first blue, then green, last yellow marked messages),
nor search by colour (i.e: select messages with a red
mark).

Greetings!

- Juanjo

Sounds like a funny feature. What is useful for? I have no idea :(

[sylpheed:31783] Feature request: Error messages should tell with which account they happen. Not unusefull don't you think ; )

Well,
this is something which stresses me from the first minute I use sylpheed but I never wanted to cry about it but
when I see what other feature requests here happen this should be one of the more reasonables.

I mean these popup-errormessages telling something like: session timedout and thinks like that. Would it
be to hard to insert a string in these boxes telling with which account it happend? I mean I'm managing 12
accounts at the moment with sylpheed which autocatch new mails every 30min. So when I come to my pc and look
and see such a popup-message I can't do anything with it because I don't know with which account it happend?

Find messages tagged with "Red", which may have a special meaning for
someone (ie, bugzilla tickets addressed to him/her). The user must get
the usefulness of this feature, ultimately. :)

That would be helpful. If I'm not watching Sylpheed work through my
accounts, I'll miss it, and sometimes even then.

If you're not able to filter by/sort by/search by, why allowing colour
(or any other) tags?

You can set up a filter that applies a color label to a message, why not
having means of automatically searching for that color label thereafter?
I use the manual way of searching (summary quick filter set to "has
color label"), and it's pretty suboptimal, specially if you use (plenty
of) folders.

In fact, with such feature I'd use color labels much more.
