Thanks. I have one more: is it a bug or feature that Compose always uses the current account rather than that
of the mailbox I am in? (Ex.: Account1 /default/ - mailbox1 ; Account2 - Mailbox2 : I am browsing mailbox2
and if I hit Compose the acunt used is still Account1.)

Hi Gergo,

You can set each folder to use whatever account you want by default.
Right click on the folder, select properties then the compose tab.

Oh, thanks, it's more granular than I thought. :-)

[sylpheed:30666] Making Sylpheed portable? (win32)

hi!
is there any possibility to make sylpheed portable? For example placing config-files, etc. into the Application-Dir?

Maybe some option (at first time ussage) asking if it will be used single/multi-user.

other then that a very good programm! I hope it will stay as small and uncomplicated as it is :)

you could combine the buttons "get" / "get all" tho with a button "get" and an arrow (like what outlook
express uses, or in generell the "back" button of firefox/ie)

regards
Guenter

If the default is customizable, I wouldn't mind.
If the default is alwasy "something" so I have to scroll down everytime
for "otherthing", then no, thanks.

Hey Günter,

I use Sylpheed as portable already. I opened a topic about it on portableapps.com and someone was kind
enough to make me a loader. YOu can find the discussion and the link to the loader here:

http://portableapps.com/node/2040

The folder layout:

FolderOnThePenDrive\
Profile - here goes the profile directory (from C:\Documents & Settings)
Sylpheed - here goes the application folder

The loader has to be unpacked into FolderOnThePenDrive.

So does skype, psi (jabber-only IM) and xchat.

... and the list keeps growing =)

Hiroyuki: please consider reimplementing the above mentioned left-click
behavior on the tray icon ;-)

[sylpheed:30672] How about adding SVN revision to the X-Mailer string?

Now that Sylpheed moved to SVN, wouldn't it be good to have the changeset
revision number included in the X-Mailer?

Basically:

	X-Mailer: Sylpheed 2.3.0 (GTK+ 2.10.4; i686-pc-linux-gnu; r1464)
	                                                        ^^^^^^^
orig:	X-Mailer: Sylpheed 2.3.0 (GTK+ 2.10.4; i686-pc-linux-gnu)

Or some better-looking form. This could help tracking down points of
regression, since there's a lot of people using -devel builds from the SVN
repo.

Of course it would need some clever way to extract the latest revision
number, like:

svn info | grep "Last Changed Rev" | awk '{print $4}'

I don't know SVN enough to tell if there is a keyword that would be forcibly
updated to reflect this latest revision number.

Comments?
