Thanks to everybody! I desided to have better look on configuration dialog. And here is the solution of my problem: Common preferences window Receive tab [ ] Use external program for incorporation ... [ ] Incorporate from spool ... [x] Auto check new mail every 2 minutes [x] Update all local folders after incorporation Interface tab Show receive dialog: Never [x] Don't popup error dialog on receive error This way I 1. have all my local folder re-read automatically; 2. don't have any error messages when receiving the mail. I still have to enter some POP server name to configure my account, even if I don't use Sylpheed as a mail receiving program. But I can live with it. And over 9 percent is whopping, I'd say - talking about a program somebody wrote merely for fun competing with professional solutions like Netrape and Mozilla Mail. Dex

If you're talking about sheer speed, ease of use and features, then there really is *NO* competition with Mozilla and Nutscrape. Sylpheed wins hands down! -- -- G. The subject says it all really. I may be alone in this respect (in which case pay no attention to me) but I think a button allowing the user to toggle the GnuPG signature on/off would be more useful than, say, the "Insert File" button. -- -- G. Hi all, At least in 0.8.8 and 0.8.9, accented characters are not displayed in the Compose window, which makes me switch back to 0.8.3 every time, where they show up OK. I've tried about every font, to no avail; moreover, in the Message window, using the same font, these special characters do show up. Anyone else having this experience? I'm using SuSE 7.1.
