Newbie question: Setting environment variables

Hi,

a newbie question (sorry but I couldn't find the answer anywhere in the help
files or on the mailing list):

How do I set environment variables on a Win32 OS? (e.g. the LANG environment
variable)

Thanks for your help,
Patrick

great. now ipv6 is usefull :)
Can someone give me a hint, for a easy to use imap server, of course with ipv6 support and opensource, runable
on a alpha-linux system.

bad signature: sylpheed - yahoogroups - sylpheed

I sent message into yahoogroups and got awnwer with bad signature.
sylphhed sent:

=E4=C5=D7=C9=DA: =CE=C9 =C4=CE=D1 =C2=C5=DA =CE=CF=D7=CF=C7=CF =CD=DC=CA=CC=
=C5=D2=C1? ;)

and got:

=E4=C5=D7=C9=DA: =CE=C9 =C4=CE=D1 =C2=C5=DA =CE=CF=D7=CF=C7=CF =CD=DC=CA=CC=
=C5=D2=C1? ;)

Where is error? Sylpheed or Yahoogroup?

second sent:

What signature ? GPG ?
What format ? HTML or plain-text ?
What characterset you're using ? US-ASCII, KOI-8 ?
What content--trasnfer- encoding ? 7 or 8 bit ?

You may compare complete message header between the two, hope find the
answer by yourself :-)

Plain-text with gpg 1.2.2-nr1 as PGP/Mime.
(Can do I send html from Sylpheed?)
text: russian in koi8-r as quoted-printable, 8-bit.
Only 1 difference in:
From me: User-Agent: Schnecke/0.70 =20
To me: User-Agent: Schnecke/0.70=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20

Sylpheed doesn't add a "User-Agent" header, unless
you define a custom one in the account settings.
Who added that header?

Both above headers are incorrect: The declaration of
the encoding is missing (e.g. "töst" will look like
"=?ISO-8859-15?Q?t=F6st?=").

Apart from that, it is optional if you use real spaces
or encoded ones (=20) - only the last trailing space
must be encoded to avoid being stripped on transport.

> --
----^
Please do not remove the trailing space from the sig
separator - it is necessary to be detected as a sig.

Micelaneous problems

Hi,

First: I don't speak English, sorry :-). Second: I'm not subscribed to the list, please CC: me. I'm using
Sylpheed 0.9.0claws (win32) and I have the following problems:

	- For some reason, running Sylpheed 0.9.0claws with set LANG=pt_BR mess up with the button bar. Some
spaces between buttons appear (by example, between "Send" and "Get All" buttons) and I cannot see all the
standard button bar. Using "set LANG=" (unsetting language) solve the problem, but I don't want use
Sylpheed in English (the english words in Brazilian Portuguese translation are enough :-) ).
	- Changing many times the icon theme in Common Preferentes->Interface dialog will cause problems. My
Windows 98 will freeze and the "there are not enough resources" message will appear.
	- Copy/Paste works with the message being viewed in the main window. If I open a message in a window (with
double-click), copy/paste doesn't work.
	- The MailPrint utility doesn't work. I think I found the problem. I have created a batch file named
print.bat, with the following commands:
	dir %1
	pause

Inside the print command window, I put 'print.bat "%s"'. In the printing process, the batch file run and
the following output appears:

---------------------------------------------------------------------
S:\Sylpheed>dir "S:\Sylpheed\.sylpheed\mimetmp\printtmp.00000001"&

 Folder S:\Sylpheed\.sylpheed\mimetmp

That has already been fixed in CVS. I uploaded the current translation to
  http://claws-w32.sourceforge.net/sylpheed/claws/pt_BR.zip
Unpack it into your install dir, so it replaces your
  sylpheed\locale\pt_BR\LOCALE\sylpheed.mo

I'll have a look, but it will take some time - finding leaks on an OS I
don't run is not one of my favourites.

That's a known problem from *nix Claws, and I hope one of those developers
with a better knowledge of GtkItemFactory fixes this.
