[ANNOUNCE] useracl plugin release 2.2

After sitting a long time in svn, here it is: a new release of useracl
plugin, also known as "Shared Folders (ACLs)".

Changelog

  2.2 (01-Feb-2011)

     * In the popup window (addacl.php), the $useracl_only_inbox config
flag was not honored, and also all folders were displayed in the
listbox, instead of only the ones where changing ACL is possible.
This is fixed, as the mailbox list routine has been made a
       function (useracl_mailbox_list())
     * Added functions is_user_folder(), is_personal_folder() and
is_shared_folder(), even though support for using NAMESPACE to
determine the relevant status is not yet complete.
     * Trim the output of sqimap_myrights (previously having a LF)
     * Cleanups - remove ldap.php, remove function name collision with
       'directory' plugin.
     * Small typo - &nbsp instead of
     * Updated setup.php to latest Squirrelmail standards.
     * Error handling argument in backend IMAP ACL functions.
     * The placement of a link to Shares page is now configurable (top
       navigation menu, Folders page etc.)
     * Fixed wrongly inserted message in email notification ("For more
information about shared folders, please see .").
     * Updated some icons to more good-looking ones, and fixed their

Plugin for message importance

Is there a plugin that allows me to set some message flags (like in
Outlook) that will "flag" the message when viewed in Outlook?

Does this also set flags when SENDING mail?
But I'll install it anyway :)

OK, I think you are not talking about message flags (in IMAP store) but
about message priority (set in RFC 2822 message header, upon sending).
This feature is already available in Squirrelmail core, AFAIK.

Yes, in Outlook this is signified by a little red flag!

WTF! But where???

I'm finding this:

Plugins - E-mail Priority

(Integrated into SM 1.2 Core)
This plugin allows the user to set the priority on the mail he/she are
composing. From High (1) to Low (5). The priority is shown by adding a
X-Priority header to the outgoing message. AFAIK there are no RFC
specifying the one-true priority header but most e-mail clients seams
to respect the X-Priority header.

I can't find that for gods sake ...

Re: Plugin for message importance

There is an option in conf.pl called "Allow use of Priority" -
$default_use_priority = true in config.php. Perhaps you have that
disabled. The priority select box is in compose screen.

You might have had some problem with web server write access to the
plugin directory (yes, you're right if you're thinking that's a dodgy
idea). A new version has been released that no longer relies on such
functionality.

HTML Mail pluging - Spellcheck locale?

Hello all,

I have been happily using SM for a couple of years now and never even
realised that there was no HTML compose option by default until one of
my users (well – my wife actually) demanded it. So I installed the
html_mail-2.3-1.4 plugin on my squirrelmail-1.4.21 (installed by “yum”
from the Fedora repo) install which runs on a Fedora 13 box.

I configured the plugin to use aspell. On testing the spell-check
functionality it I got the error message:
 “Error executing `aspell –a –lang=en_US –encoding=utf-8 –H <
/tmp/aspell_data_cCrScZ 2>&1`
Error: No word lists can be found for the language “en_US”.”

This was quickly fixed with a “yum install aspell-en” but alarm bells
were ringing. I’m British. My locale is (or should be) British English.
The command:
“echo $LANG”
yields
“en_GB.UTF-8”

Now the spell-check works without error but when I try to check the
phrase “I wonder what colour this color is?” it reports that “colour” is
misspelled when of course – as everyone knows – it is the word “color”
that is wrong ;)

Running aspell from the command line (on the server) on this same phrase
gets it right.

Note: in the non-HTML compose spell-check (hunspell?) I had to change
