jsclock plugin update: Version 0.4

Hi!

The new version of jsclock is available at
http://www.cim.mcgill.ca/~danny/jsclock.php

Lots of changes/additions:

Added more faces (odo,note,ostyle,inverse
shadow,crt,chinese,japanese,gold) from
http://www.digitmania.holowww.com/.
Added more faces (gothic).
Removed leading zero in 12 hour mode.
Moved images to separate "faces" directory.
Added hour format and seconds toggle link in face.
Wrote userdoc.html with link from folder preferences.
Added extract10digits script.
Fixed face wrapping with "nowrap". Doh.
Simplified PHP code a bit.
Changed every occurence of " for ' where possible in PHP code.
Added missing image index which caused funky display in NS4.

I'll stop making these annoucements when the plugin team guys are back
from vacation and I can upload to the site, promised. :)

Salutations,

weather 4.0.2 plugin

I just tried to download the weather 4.0.2 plugin but no link appears on
the download page. I can download 4.0.1 okay but I'd like to get the
latest version.

Problem with Spamassassin plugin

Hi,

I'm using SM 1.2.8, PHP 4.2.3 on FreeBSD 4.6. SA is installed and seems to
be working correctly (somewhat, as it's adding the x-spam header and
such). But, a few things are _not_ happening...

1) And changes I make on the options page are not saved
2) Whitelist/Blacklist is not saved
3) Spam is not having its subject line re-written (but I think this is a
'score' issue)

Any thoughts appreciated.

: )

phillip.

Re: Problem with Spamassassin plugin

As a quick follow-up to my last post (which I've lost while playing with
Procmail) ... I see that Spamassasin has added a .spamassassin director
with a user_prefs file. It appears that this is the file being used... not
the $DATADIR user.spam file.

Also noticed the user.spam.tmp file in the /tmp directory, which was
mentioned in another post as a permission issue? And, I have no idea what
the .procmail-spamrc (that was mentioned in another post) is for? I'm
wondering if I've missed a step that is specific to the plugin?

Many thanks in advance,

phillip.

The SpamAssassin plugin from the website isn't register_globals =
Off compliant. This means that any options you try saving don't
save. I did have a go at fixing it, but it'd have taken me too long
to do so. The author recently wrote to the plugin list, and
announced that he is working on version 2 (I think), which would
work better. You could try turning on register_globals in your
php.ini file, and restarting apache and seeing if that works. You
might want to contact the author directly and ask if he has the
  update on the plugin.

Re: Problem with Spamassassin plugin

Hi Jonathan,

Thanks for this... I had turned Globals = ON, but forgot to restart
Apache. The user-specific options are now saved... BUT, spamassassin
continues to use the user_prefs from the .spamassassin directory in $HOME.

I have a .procmailrc file with a directive to include a rc.spam recipe,
which has the following in it:
:0fw
| /usr/bin/spamassassin

Do you know how I can get SA to use the prefs from the SM $DATA directory?

Warning with 1.2 and earlier versions of the Samba-client plugin.

Users of the Samba-client plugin are advised of the following:

The current version of the Samba-client plugin (not distributed with
SquirrelMail) presents a serious security risk with the way it currently
authenticates users and interacts with the shared filesystem

Site administrators are encouraged to remove the plugin until the plugin
author corrects these vulnerabilities.

If another individual is interested in fixing the plugin, contact one of
the SquirrelMail leaders for more information
(http://www.squirrelmail.org/wiki/en_US/SquirrelMailLeadership).

Thanks

Re: Problem with Spamassassin plugin

Well, it's all working now... bit of a fudge, but it does the trick.

I prefer to use Procmail recipes in general (over the Filter plugin),
because the filter plugin seems to work _after_ mail is delivered to the
default INBOX, and when I connect via a traditional IMAP client, I see the
mail before it's properly filtered. So, that being said, I edited my
rc.spam file to say the following:

:0fw
| /usr/bin/spamassassin -p /usr/local/squirrelmail/data/username.spam

:0:
* ^Subject:.*SPAM
_SPAM

For some reason, setting the spam folder in the SA plugin config page
wasn't working... but the whitelist/blacklist and all that is working fine
now.

Manually Installing Plugins

I have a "virtual" account instead of a real server,
having no command line access to the server means I
have been unable to install plugins - some sugest
manual installing as an option.

I would be very grateful if anybody could point me in
the right direction of how to do this, I really don't
know where to start.

Thanks, Daniel
