Thank you, Paul. It's committed as revision 12911.

I haven't done any changes yet, just some planning, but when (if?) I'm
done I'll document it.

I've done the conversion today, so starting with 1.4.14 and 1.5.2 Bokmål
will be in UTF-8.

Help with timezone options in Squirrelmail

Hi,

I have a new installation of Squirrelmail running version 1.4.13 and I cannot seem to get the timezone settings to show up in the options on the Personal Information page. This instance is running on a hosted environment.

I first installed this on a Suse 10, which I have shell access.

I installed the following plugins:

  Installed Plugins

    1. newmail (included)

    2. squirrelspell (included)

    3. administrator (included)

    4. abook_take (included)

    5. calendar_file_backend  (ver. 1.0)

    6. calendar  (shared calendar ver. 2.01)

    7. twc_weather  (ver 1.3p3b-RC2)

    8. image_buttons  (version 1.4)

    9. translate  (included)

The timezone option does show up on this install.

I tar’d the directory, moved it to my hosted server, and changed the paths in the config.php.

Everything seems to work, except the timezone.

It is really annoying because the time is one hour ahead on the server.

Can someone please give some advice on how to fix this?

Server info:

PHP Version 5.2.3
Apache (cannot see the version)
IMAP (Cannot see the info)

Squirrelmail installed manually.

Thanks for any help,
Rick

You can't translate them, you actually need to change the folders' names

It's not possible in SquirrelMail 1.4.13, but it is possible in the
development version 1.5.2 (which isn't officially released yet). The only
folder that you can translate in SquirrelMail 1.4.13 is "INBOX". Being
able to translate other folders are not part of the IMAP standard and
might cause troubles, and hasn't been a feature in 1.4 for those reasons.

If you know some PHP you might be able to back-port the folder
translations. The code is in "functions/imap_mailbox.php".

Sincerely,
Fredrik

Re: language selection failed

I assume that you're still using SquirrelMail 1.4.13.

How did you do that? Did you modify the SquirrelMail code or did you code
a plugin?

If you coded a language selection list to reside near the logout link, you
should compare your code with what's in "src/options.php",
"functions/options.php", and "include/options/display.php". The required
functionality is there.

Sincerely,
Fredrik

Yes i am using SquirrelMail 1.4.13.

>How did you do that? Did you modify the SquirrelMail code or did you code

I have tried to write a function modifying the one in the include/options/display.php,  I just copied the array which populates the language list, but  i cant apply the selected language to the curent user.

Is there any easiest way to apply this. I just wanted to bring the language option to the left of the the sign out link on the top right corner so that users can easily change their language preference.

Best r,
