Some last minute fixes - it's getting too late ...

The charset was wrong - you probably could have fixed it yourself
using iconv, but here is the new file.

Error in smallcal.pot - patches for the Small Calendar plugin

I downloaded the lastest smallcal from
http://squirrelmail.org/plugin_view.php?id=90
I notice that Calendar.php contains
    $dayslist = _("SMTWTFS");
while /trunk/locales/po/smallcal.pot contains
    msgid "S M T W T F S"
This can't work.

In addition I patched Calendar.php so this string is used

--- plugins/smallcal/Calendar.php.orig  2007-12-01 08:58:40.000000000 +0100
+++ plugins/smallcal/Calendar.php       2007-12-01 08:52:50.000000000 +0100
 <at>  <at>  -27,5 +27,7  <at>  <at>
     function Calendar()
     {
+       sq_change_text_domain('smallcal');
        $dayslist = _("SMTWTFS");
+       sq_change_text_domain('squirrelmail');
        $this->dayNames = array($dayslist[0], $dayslist[1], $dayslist[2], $dayslist[3], $dayslist[4],
$dayslist[5], $dayslist[6]);
     }

And finally I patched "functions.php" - I added
    sq_change_text_domain('smallcal');
and
    sq_change_text_domain('squirrelmail');
in the obvious places in the function "smallcal_options_do".
If I didn't do this the translation didn't have any effect.
Why haven't anyone reported this before? Because they have merged
smallcal.po(t) with squirrelmail.po(t)?

Thx for that info, but this is ridiculously well hidden. Why can't the
SM developers just release a new version? In Debian there is NMU -
Non-Maintainer Uploads - to fix i18n issues in packages with
non-responsive (or "non-existing") maintainers.

Anyway, my fix uses "sq_change_text_domain" which is better.

Regards,
Hans

Because it's third party software. Also, it is deprecated in favor of
the Shared Calendars plugin.

I don't doubt that you are correct, but there is no info about
deprecation/obsoleting on
http://squirrelmail.org/plugin_view.php?id=90 ( Compare to
http://squirrelmail.org/plugin_view.php?id=59 )

Reply in Squirrelmail1.4.11 doesn't support utf-8 Chinese generated by Mailman-2.1.9-2

Hi,
    I'm using SM-1.4.11 in Centos-5. The OS locale is zh_CN.UTF-8, and
SM's default_charset is gb2312. The SM works well with Chinese content
except when replying such messages generated from Mailman-2.1.9-2
whose Language has been set to 'Chinese (China).' The quoted original
after the > symbol is messed up. This is not expected. From the mail
header I can see 'Content-Type: text/plain; charset="utf-8"' in every
such mails. Tested browsers includes IE6, Firefox-2.0.0.4(Windows),
Konqueror-3.5.7, Firefox-1.5.0.12(Linux).
    Other related info:
No plugins installed in SM
php-5.1.6-15.el5
dovecot-1.0-1.2.rc15.el5
postfix-2.3.3-2.el5.centos.mysql_pgsql
2.6.18-8.1.15.el5 i386 kernel
httpd-2.2.3-7.el5.centos
    All software installed by yum except SM-1.4.11 extracted to web
server's root directory.
    Is there any further test I can do to narrow this problem?

Thanks!
