Re: hello. i have made tatar translation.

hello. is squirrelmail team going to include my translation to
official package if i hold copyright of translation to me?
you can include only tt-ru translation.
tt-cyr-2 is with unofficial orthography. and it does not work without
creating additional locale.

Note that this thread should have been on our squirrelmail-i18n mailing list.

No, sorry. The copyright needs to go to the SquirrelMail team, as you
see all other translations are.

We haven't had time to review it yet, but we really appreciate the
contribution. In the meantime, have you compared it to the other
translations to make sure the files look the same as, say, the Swedish
one?

Thanks

i think setting copyright of translation (i mean only the tatar text
with relations to english texts) to squirrelmail team + me is good.

what do you think about that?

i.e. if squirrelmail team can use it with any license it want and me
also can use it(my translation) with any license i want. but except
that we each do not disallow it to other of us/these.

Re: hello. i have made tatar translation.

hm. i am not going to use that with some such license. and if i give
copyright to squirrelmail team fully, and then need some special
license to use this translation and at that time i can ask for it from
squirrelmail team and i hope you give me it for free, of course may be
only old translation of mine excluding new editions.

hm i think if i give you copyright i even cannot use this translation
as translation memory with other license than squirrelmail license.

what is squirrelmail team? is that a concrete list of concrete
people/persons? how they decide what to do, probably they vote for
what to do directly and also choose team commander/head/admin and also
do what he/she decide, and also make conference to choose decision
togeteher.

newmail_changetitle

I use Squirrelmail 1.4.20.

I use the newmail_changetitle feaute in the newmail plugin, however I
also use org_title to display the user's email address. In order to
not "lose" the original title, I propose to change
plugins/newmail/setup.php:

        global $org_title;
[...]
                    sprintf(_("%s New Messages"), $totalNew ) .  ': '
. $org_title .

Does it sound like a good idea to anyone else?

Javier

I would do something like this

--- setup.php   (revision 13927)
+++ setup.php   (working copy)
 <at>  <at>  -220,16 +220,17  <at>  <at>
         // will play the sound as follows:

         if ($newmail_changetitle) {
+            global $org_title;
             echo "<script language=\"javascript\"
type=\"text/javascript\">\n" .
                 "function ChangeTitleLoad() {\n";
             if( $totalNew > 1 || $totalNew == 0 ) {
-                echo 'window.parent.document.title = "' .
+                echo 'window.parent.document.title = "' . $org_title . ' [' .

I'm observing a problems with the security_tokens line in the users'
*.pref files:

Prior to login:
# grep security_tokens= ./6/f/hau-po.pref | wc
      1       1     618

After login & doing something & logging out:
# grep security_tokens= ./6/f/hau-po.pref | wc
      1       1     717

With each login the security_tokens= line grows longer!

Why do you say that is a problem? It is designed as such.
Technically, there isn't much reason not to just use a single token,
but the original design was intended to be generic enough to allow one
token per form served (to keep the attacker guessing). They are
automatically culled when they expire. You can set more aggressive
culling by setting $max_token_age_days to a small number (1 is fine,
but keep in mind that if someone leaves, for example, a compose form

I had a user where the line grew SO long that PHP wouln't process it
anymore. Once I deleted the config line it would all work again.

Where is that being set?
