Recent qmailrocks install

I recently Installed a qmailrocks 3.0 installation on my freebsd8.2 server took me about 5 attempts, all to do with my 2 years + but it runs great its bullet proof and I love it. I am just writing this to let yawl know that you can run John Simpsons migrate domain script from one wacked out older than dirt vpopmail with sqwebmail no virus no spam, to a brand new vpopmail qmailrocks server with no problems. It just created all the sqwebmail folders but did not hurt any of the squirmail folders are my new lovely spam folders or mess anything up at all. All of the dovecot and sqwebmail folders are just sitting there waiting for me to delete them.

 

Just FYI because in reading all the material it seemed like the servers had to alike.

Error when sending mail through squirel mail

Dear Friends,

I am getting error "Requested action aborted: error in processing
451 qq temporary problem (#4.3.0)" when trying to send mail from qmail. and logs in the " tail -f /var/spool/qmailscan/qmail-queue.log" says that  "error_condition: X-Antivirus-MYDOMAIN-1.25-st-qms: clamdscan: corrupt or unknown clamd scanner error or memory/resource/perms problem - exit status -1/72057594037927935". Kindly hep me.

Clamav daemon / service is  not running or your permissions are wrong :-)

check your clamd.conf user and owner plus the permissions on the dir as well

memory/resource/perms problem - exit status -1/72057594037927935". Kindly hep me.

Like Shepherd said, it's a permission problem.
This might be connected to APP-ARMOR if your using Ubuntu (10.04)
I had to change it.

Thanks for your quick reply.

I had made the following changes to the clamd.conf file

"ll /etc/clamd.conf
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 13983 Mar 15 00:05 /etc/clamd.conf

[root <at> mail ~]# chown root:clamav /etc/clamd.conf

[root <at> mail ~]# ll /etc/clamd.conf
-rw-r--r-- 1 root clamav 13983 Mar 15 00:05 /etc/clamd.conf"

But still i am getting "Message not sent. Server replied: Requested action aborted: error in processing
451 qq temporary problem (#4.3.0)" error in squirel mail.

Check permission on /var/clamav the owner must be qscand.

It's a new installation or it worked and now it's broken?

Have you googled this? Goodcleanemail has an article about this. I don't know why Shepard Nhongo would personally take his time to try to troubleshoot every bit of this particular issue over email but this has been discussed THOUSANDS OF TIMES on the qmr forums, on google, on my website, the qmr archives, etc.

Also tell squirrelmail to send messages via sendmail

Attachment size

Hi

When a sender sends a mail with an attachment where the attachment size is exceeding the limits mentioned in databytes, the sender will get a notification that the size exceeded.  Is there a way even the recipient is also notified. If so please help me.
