Hi all, is there anyone knows how to send bigger attachments (a 6M sized file) with mutt?

Mutt is really great but I cannot get anything when sending a 6M file.

It's ok for sending small files but when i'm trying to send a big
file, it stopped working.

Hope to get some tips, thanks very much!!

That's not a mutt problem, check your "sendmail" config and your ISP
limitations.

Please explain how exactly mutt "stops working" when you try to send a
large file.

I have sent files well into the two-digit megabyte range in e-mail
using mutt with no problems (assuming the mail servers involved allow
such large e-mails).

read a file named ^

I was in a hurry to set up a forgotten recipe for procmail. I had:
^ TOmisc instead of
* ^TOmisc

Now there is a file in my mail directory (using maildir) that is labeled ^.
Is there any way for mutt to read the emails in that file so I can place the 4 emails in their proper
folder/directory?
I even searched the procmail archives and didn't get any hits :(

Thanks.
Mike

rename the file "^"
you will need to escape the character "^"

mv <path-to>\^ <path-to>new.name

Tried that but mutt said file is not a mailbox.

I use mbox, so I am guessing that MailDir is using some indexing ???
that is not providing the correct parameters to mutt. Why don't you
move the file out of your mail system and reimport/rereceive it via
procmail,
  formail -ds procmail < file.txt

Hi,

Maildir doesn't have any indexing or meta data files, it's just one file
per message. It encodes important flags into the path and filename so
that tools can get some flags from just the path.
