So I wrote a shell script. If somebody interested in it take a look at
comments inside and try it.
If there are such things already around the NET, give me a link, please.
So, the script:

(I haven't tried your patch but...) I'd like to see the ability in mutt
to cd to a particular directory and then tag some or all the
attachements in the current e-mail and then do a ";s" which would save
all the tagged attachments non-interactively in the current dir (unless
an overwrite was possible at which point mutt could query me as it does
now).
