Is there any way to move text macros from a PC Mulberry to a MAC?

Hi,

I have a lot of text macros and was wondering if there is some way to copy them from my PC to my new MAC, other then
retype or cut and paste

Thanks,
Joel

New acct NOT Login or receive emails

I am sending this problem report/request from a different email of mine, since it did not seem to send within Mulberrymail/support. I did not receive the Cc I requested be sent to this address.

Feb. 1, 2012
To:  Support, Mulberrymaii.com
Re: Setup 2 pop and 1 IMAP accounts in Mulberrymail, v. 4.0.8
Re:  Mulberrymail accts fail to allow Login to Server + all emails to mulberrymail.com acct are rejected.
Re: O.S. = Mac 10.5.8

1a. Log in to 2 pop accounts (accts) with (w/) server = 'pop.emailsrvr.com,' (or smtp.emai....) displays 'server details' as "server is ready" only after failed attempt to login for each acct.  Logout Button (bttn) displays in menu bar, so it appears that I have 'logged in.'  Right-click ea. acct.> view 'Server details' only are available today.  Today and yesterday, I could view all 3: 'Options, Details, and Server' when Rt-clking INBOX of those Pop3 accts.  (Authentication = 'Plain Text' and Security = 'No Security.')

1b. When I checked 'Open this Mailbox at Login,' after failed Login, Inboxes show Logout Bttn.  Do I need to 'Tie to my identity,' for successful Login?

1c. The first time the 'Details> Server' were veiwable was after I used your 'IP address (173.13....)' in place of 'pop.emailsrvr.com' in the server box while creating an acct, and had failed authentication + failed login.

2. If I create an acct with 'pop.mulberrymail.com' in the server box> 'Authentication fails' with either 'Plain Text' or 'Anonymous and 'No Security,' and therefore 'login fails.'   Also with 'pop.emailsrvr.com' as server, and trying Kerberosv4 authentication with STARTTLS security, 'Authentication and Login' fail.  Also, using server = pop.cyrusoft.com (also smtp.cyrusoft.com) fails authentication and login, as did pop/smtp.webpagestart.com.

3. If I create an acct with 'pop.emilsrvr.com' in server box, and Authentication = GSSAPI (Kerberos5), and Security = SSLv3, both 'Authentication and Login' fail.   (Mac 10.5/Help states that it contains Kerberos5.)  (Your reference guide states that GSSAPI is Kerberos5.)

4. Each time after closing Mulberry, and re-opening it, I get a popup: "Set User ID and Password" (pw) for the acct at the top of my list of mailboxes.  My UID is already inserted since I entered my User ID to those boxes while creating those accts, but when I type in my pw (set at initial account creation)> OK> "Could not login to server:  Authentication failed," and 'Set ID and PW Box' repeatedly pops up.  Re-entering pw10-12 times gives same 'authentication failure.'

5a. IMAP acct creation did not allow Rt-clk-of-IMAP-Inbox to display 'Details>Server' 'OK'-details or 'ready' until I had attempted the pw login 10-12 times for the pop acct.

5b. I logged out of the IMAP acct> closed Mulberrymail> shut down Mac> Restart Mac> open Mulberrymail>  IMAP is 'logged out' and 'login' fails.  Message= "Could not login to server: NO [ALERT] Unsupported authentication mechanism," and server details are NOT displayed.

6a. With various 'Authentication and Security' settings, in the several times I renamed and then deleted my original 2 pop accts [(with UID as ejrittenbach <at> webpapgestart.com) (per DLd'd Tutorial:  "Mulberry Mail ver. 4.0.8 Tutoriial," by Google search)], and recreated my pop accts, I have sent emails to my old and new Mulberrymail 'accts,' and all have been rejected by your domain.  The error reported is "550.550.5.1.1 <ejrittenbach <at> mulberrymail.com>: Recipient Address rejected: user unknown in local recipient table (state 14)."  I can send screenshots of the failures if you wish.

6b. I had already added your website/address to the 'trusted sites' in my Internet Security Program on my Mac 10.5.8.   (Your Mulberry reference manual is v. 4.0.  I also consulted the DLd'd tutorial: "Setting Up Mulberry [v. 4.0.7, updated 2/07.])

6c. Prior to deleting my original 2 pop accts, those mailboxes displayed with 'Logout-Bttn,' but rejected any emails sent to them from different email companies.

6.d. I consulted your support page> wiki, where I found a posting of "Set User ID and Password" popup occurring repeatedly in 2007, but NO Reply or Solution was posted.

6.e. I attempted to send this report and request from within my Mulberry Mail account at your Support website.  As requested, a copy was saved to my 'Inbox:Sent-mail' at 10:18 p. on 2/1/12, but the requested Cc to my clearwire email was not received by 1:00 a.m. on 2/2/12 .

7. After 2+ weeks of becoming familiar with Mulberrymail 4.0..8 and your reference guide, I find I would like to use a Mulberry email acct, and preferably a secure acct, if possible.  Would you please register/accept my acct so that it appears in your recipient table so I can successfully receive email with the acct and reset my pw, or clear the account creation attempt so I can start over?  And, would you please inform me what I need to do/correct to make my acct work? I hope I have not wasted 2+ weeks learning and trying to create a working account with Mulberry Mail.  Please, promptly send email-reply to me at erittenbach <at> clearwirenet, until my Mulberrymail acct is corrected.   Thank you.

Disconnected mode accidentally selected - help!

I have Mulberry on 2 machines. Both have remote IMSP preferences, configured
to load at startup. These log into 2 mail servers, and everything works
fine.

Today, on one machine, I started mulberry without a net connection, and it
asked if I wanted to start in disconnected mode. I said "yes", and now
it ALWAYS starts in disconnected mode. I can't seem to get it to open my
IMSP preferences on startup. I can open them (and it appears to load them)
but it does not (e.g.) rearrange my windows etc.

Any ideas?

https://www.mulberry.com / PGP key?

Hi,

The cert on https://www.mulberrymail.com appears to be a self signed cert
now? Just had a friend contact me after re-installing their PC and pointing
it out.

Is it self signed for a reason (i.e. other than cost?)

Also - on the download page there's PGP signature files, but I can't find
the Mulberry PGP key to use with them anywhere on the site? - Is it still
around?

Just trying to verify the authenticity of the downloads on the site before
my friend re-installs 4.0.8 for Windows....

Thanks,

-Karl

Questions about Rules in Mulberry Mail

This message contains references to words that are common in spam so I have
taken special care to try to avoid their use while still conveying the subject
matter as it pertains to applying rules to filter electronic mail.

How can I change the order in which rules are applied? The only ways I know are
to clear the trigger for each rule that I want to move a rule above and then to
set that trigger again (very tedious process when trying to move the 140th rule
to the top of the list!) or to edit the preferences file when Mulberry Mail is
not running (very dangerous process).

How can I filter using a specific literal string of characters without the
space suppression that Mulberry Mail normally uses when processing a rule? An
example of my problem here was trying to filter messages containing the word
s-e-x (dashes added to get this past any such filter). This rule trapped the
phrase "Jes explains" in a Linux Journal announcement because the space between
words is ignored both in the message and in the search criteria. I see no way
to tell Mulberry Mail to honor space characters. Another technique I tried
before learning about the space suppression issue was to look for something
like " PhD " which includes both a leading and trailing space. Now I see that
this is hopeless. Some digital signatures are trapped by this rule.

How can I specify a filter in which I want the search criteria to be considered
as a pattern to find obfuscated words? For example, instead of the letter "a"
some messages contain "@" or "4". instead of the letter "i" some messages
contain "!" or "|" or lower case "L" or the number "1". Some messages will
repeat a letter to try to get past rules. A sample of these techniques used in
combination would be vvVv||@aA <at> 9g9rRaaA. In this example I have used the letter
"v" both upper and lower case four times in succession, the pipe character
twice in succession to stand for the letter "i", the @ symbol along with both
upper and lower case "a" for the letter "a", a string of nines and lower case
"g" characters to represent the letter "g" etc. I see no method of applying
character substitutions to catch obfuscation like this. I recognize that this
is not a trivial task for someone to knock out in a few hours (days? weeks?
months?).

I think the answer to each of these questions is that there is no current means
to accomplish what I want in a reasonable manner but I can always hope.

Invalid Email Addresses cause 4.0.8 to stall

Hello,

Just a heads up that I have now received two pieces of spam which appear to have invalid From: addresses in the
header which
cause Mulberry to hang.

The initial part of the inbound Russian message From: field is :

Исаков <=?koi8-r?B?IOHMxcvTxcXXIDw9P2tvaTgtcj9CPzVzWEUwU0RoenNuVHljM1AxeQ==?=
=?koi8-r?B?QThQVDlyYjJrNExYSS9RajlKVUV4YWQzTklUSG81WTJkUVJBPT0/PQ==?=
=?koi8-r?B?CT0/a29pOC1yP0I/TUM5aE1qbHdUME14ZVZBd1NTOU9SMDQyVW01cg==?=
=?koi8-r?B?TlZWRldqVmhWVkoxVFVoT2RWTklielZVUVE9PT89CT0/a29pOC1yPw==?=

=?koi8-r?B?UDJ0dmFRPT0/PQk9P2tvaTgtcj9CP09DMXlQMEkvVUZRNWNtSXlheg==?= =?koi8-r?B?

and it carries on for another 200 lines.

My only option was to delete it from a webmail client (actually I have put it somewhere safe in case anyone
wants to spend more
time looking at the cause).

CalDAV on a Synology NAS

Hi,

Synology Firmware 3.2 now includes a CalDAV server. With Lightning I
can order the calendars on that NAS without troubles.
If I would connect the CalDAV Calendar with Mulberry, then I got the
following error message:

Could not read calendar:Not found
Account: Username
Calendar: calendarname

I catch the TCP Stream and I can see, that Mulberry recieve every
calendar-entry. And then the stream ends and in Mulberry I see the
error message above!

Could this be a bug in the CalDAV server or in Mulberry?

Thanks for any help.

Repeatable bug happening exactly 2 times a year

I keep forgetting to report this.

On a daylight saving change, the time out outgoing messages is wrong unless
you quit Mulberry and reload.

Lion-compatible build?

A few weeks ago someone (Martin perhaps?) announced the availability of a Mulberry build that worked on Mac
OS Lion. I can't find my copy of that message and the list archives don't have August messages yet.

Can somebody remind me of where I can download this? I'm ready to convert another computer to Lion and want to
be able to read my mail once I've done that.

Opening html attachments

I use mulberry e-mail client at work as well as at my home, and both
machines are Windows Vista machines. I had to reinstall windows and all
the other software on my home laptop a couple of days ago.

However, since the recent update, when I double click on HTML attachments
it no longer opens my default web browser. This used to work fine on my
home laptop before I had to rebuild the machine and it also works on my
laptop in my office.

Is there some setting that I'm missing on my home laptop that is causing
this problem?

Thank you!
